"He has a great record as TE's coach"
Can't wait for the next Gronk, Fant, Hockenson and LaPorta to come out of Fresno. They are who they are today because of BF.
"He has a great record as TE's coach"
He went from 49th to 67th in his run game/oc stint, then failed upwards somehow and the offensive regression continued. He was made Run GAme Coord/sort of Co-offensive coord in 2014 or 2015 and the run game was better under him.
2021-23 was an OLINE problem all around and that was on Brian and Kirk both
He had so much offensive talent, and was so bad.3 worst o=lines in the Ferentz years….4 years of then worse QBing personnel in GT he’d Ferentz era….IC, methinks you are nutz! Hardly a wealth of O-talent during his tenure.
yep Petras was a full on All-American candidate, wasn't he? And what about those wide receivers and offensive line that couldn't block my dead grandmother? Outstanding talent. He had so much offensive talent, and was so bad.
Hmmm….. so that was Phil Parker’s fault? Or was it the responsibility of some person put in charge of coordinating an offense? And what was that persons name? His initials are Brian Ferentz…..yep Petras was a full on All-American candidate, wasn't he? And what about those wide receivers and offensive line that couldn't block my dead grandmother? Outstanding talent.
Four 3years, Petras never showed me anything but raw coincidence. He was not remotely a B10 caliber QB…..the Iowa coaching staff missed the boat badly on him.Hmmm….. so that was Phil Parker’s fault? ‘That said, he played behind on of the poorest runs of Iowa O-lines since the FXL years of the 1970’s. If a Petra’s pass completion was an accidental affair, so was a well clocked offensive play.’Four 3years, Petras never showed me anything but raw coincidence. You and I never must have watched the same UIowa QB name Petrous. Absolutely the most skilled challenged QB IOwa had to to that time under Kirk…..‘That said, he played behind on of the poorest runs of Iowa O-lines since the FXL years of the 1970’s. If a Petra’s pass completion was an accidental affair, so was a well clocked offensive play.’
And this falls under which coaches jurisdiction? Again, his initials are Brian Ferentz.
Do you know what Petras did do? Answered questions every week and didn’t go with ‘it’s tough to run the ball with the schemes we run’ took the heat, faced the music while Brian was very rarely available to the media and the media had to tread lightly so as not to limit their access to Fort Kinnick.
Petra 1st qb taken in draftyep Petras was a full on All-American candidate, wasn't he? And what about those wide receivers and offensive line that couldn't block my dead grandmother? Outstanding talent.
I agree wholeheartedly. People are like, “our oline sucked.” Well what father and son combo are supposedly o line experts at Iowa? 🤔‘That said, he played behind on of the poorest runs of Iowa O-lines since the FXL years of the 1970’s.
