Bring AJ Ferrari Home

It was a very easy way to cut ties. I'm sure Beth and the admin wanted no part of the circus that took place that night in Coralville.

We'll see how hard TnT want to push this, and how much good will they want to risk on AJ.
I think some poster at the time put it something like, “if that was a try out, I don’t think he nailed it”

Wishful thinking says AJ could be a Desanto type scenario where he was at Drexel and needed a change and some grounding. He got Brands and Lee and accountability at Iowa and it worked out. Perhaps this is exactly what AJ needs? He seens very committed to his faith and if this is valid he has a foundation ideal started, he needs a place to stoke those coals. Then again, Cal- Bakersfield is all he needs and content with that. I pray for him and hope for the best.

Yeah, bring AJ “home”. All he’s done is call our fan base racist multiple times and totally downplay his mistakes while spending the whole year making light of the situation where he flipped off the entire Iowa fan base, one of the few teams who would give him a chance. Oh and tried to engage in a fist fight with Michigan in the weigh-in line the very same day as this “mature AJ” interview. He’s totally grown up & learned his lesson

“I’ve really grown up and matured… well I did call him a fat @$$ and ask him to fight me with our fists like men, but I’ve definitely changed and learned to walk away, I promise.” WTF?

I’m hopeful he does grow up someday. He’s not even close to there yet. No thanks to AJ in Iowa City.

Hasn’t someone already stated that Elam is pretty much a done deal? Swear I saw something on the board weeks back but can’t recall for certain. Gobblin?

Yikes. I already didn’t like him, and this certainly didn’t change my mind.

I never wanted us to have anything to do with him, and I still don’t. Hell, he even threw Caitlyn Clark under the bus a little bit.
Yeah, a bit tongue in cheek. Doesn't feel entirely sincere.

Every single AJ Ferrari interview is insane.
I agree. I wonder how many folks around here would want AJ to join the team if the coaches job was on the line for any subsequent bad behavior by the athlete in question?

I regret to inform you that in the arena...opinion turned positively for him with a lot of fans. Not me, but a bunch of people around me were openly cheering for him by the end.

What I saw from AJ that I liked was when he lost to Buchannon. It is during difficult times that we see a person's true character. He acted in a respectful way. I was pleasantly surprised. If he has cleaned up his act the last full year, I would welcome him back.

I was front row to the entire AJ interview/backroom situation after medal round. That guy is what he portrays that’s to say the least.

Hard NO on that one. He is exhausting to listen to. The circle of contradictions are hard to follow.
For example the Mich heavyweight was out of line by talking sh!t before his match w Cardenas but yet he was talking sh!t to Buchanan before their match which apparently was fine (except that the lord didn’t like it and caused him to lose)?

And just the fact that he engaged w the Mich guy instead of ignoring him says a lot.
