Bruce in portal..

This has been over the years. Wisconsin says it almost every time they beat Iowa how predictable the offense is. Purdue as well. Brohm himself pokes Iowa with this. Fitz says it as well how he has Iowa figured out and the offense scouted so well. Just listen to post game shows on the B1G Network or their own media. I swear most our fanbase has their heads buried in the sand. They have no idea how much of a laughing stock our program was this year on the national stage. I live out west. Most don't really care about Iowa Football. This year however every college football fan knows about BF nepotism and the disgraceful Iowa offense these last few years.
I haven't read that. Maybe you could offer some proof?

Never heard that from me. I have supported NIL at Iowa since day one. Maybe you are another one that should put up or shut up... Maybe you already contribute... I have no clue, but to quote my post as if I haven't supported NIL is ludicrous.
You are right, should not have used your quote. My bad. As you know we have whole other thread regarding NIL and how it's going to be the end of college football as we know it. I have zero problem w/NIL. And I have no problem w/the transfer portal either. You either adapt or or you don't. Same as in life.

Every team says that about every other team when they 'beat' them. If we executed properly on offense they would not say that. Do you hear teams saying that about our defense? No, not when they execute. The offensive line is the main issue and the other miscues by SP and the other guys with the ball. Blame the coaches all you want about play calls, fundamentals, etc., but at the end of the day the players have to execute.

Jesus Christ - He was “absent” because of the QB and the OL!

With our yearly weakness at the position, I don’t know how anyone could be “perfectly fine with this”

Take your damn Hawkeye blinders off.
Relax there just a little bit....you're acting like your life depends on Iowa football. It doesn't....I promise.

I'm perfectly fine with Bruce entering the portal because I don't think he is that talented as a WR. That's my opinion. I think others on this board are also perfectly fine with it. And...."Hawkeye blinders" aren't required to feel that way or have that opinion.

It didn't signal that last year when Jone left.

I thought keagan was an absolute stud---capable of being a #1 or #2 receiver on good teams--he is big loss. Bruce is more of a 4th or 5th option type receiver---solid, not spectacular becaue he lacks elite size/athleticism.

Losing Bruce would not be an issue if Iowa were a normal team stocked with capable receivers.....but Iowa is not that place. It is like KF is the anti-WR coach---he doesn't like their personalities and he doesn't know how to use them, his offense is repulsive to them, he can't recruit them, can't keep them on campus.

Whether BF/KF can change their stripes and get some receivers from the Portal/Freshmen that actually play...the jury is out.
I agree about Keagan....and I am sorry to see him leave. I consider it a significant loss.

Bruce, on the other hand....that's a different story. Like I said, I'm perfectly fine with him leaving. I wish him well and I wish him great success. I just think he's over-rated and he lacks WR talent. Not a significant loss for us and fairly easy to replace, IMO.

KJ is a potential loss but factually he hadn't done much. Hasn't seen the field for basically 12 months.

Nebby player said our D was beatable. Said nothing about the offense.

As far as the other schools, how about some quotes? You're just making shit up. And Iowa beat the other 3 you mentioned, too.
How many touchdowns would they have scored if De Jean had not got hurt early in the game? They picked on our backups successfully... highly doubtful they would have had the same success if De Jean was in there.

and? I don't think anybody in the West is in position to do any posturing after this season.
Be sure and let me know where I did that. I called your comparison of the two records stupid because, it's well, stupid. I then had you confirm that for me by giving me the crossover schedules this year.

Thanks.

I simply pointed out that they've got about the same record over the last two years. No deep dive into schedule strength, margin of victory etc. Just pretty similar records. That's all. Of course KFz is the more successful coach long term.
I don't think you'll see either of them up for Coach of the Year.
