Anybody heard where Cade is going?!? Notre Dame as fourth string, maybe Upper Iowa to be a backup, possibly pushing for a starting spot at Coe or Central or Simpson?!?

I wouldn’t say ecstatic. My friend is a huge Michigan fan and said “Cade is a game manager who can move the chains”. My expectations were mediocre at best and he somehow let them down.
Lots of hate for a guy who tried to do his best. It didn’t work out at Iowa. I wish him well…
He also took a huge paycheck with him. Unlike Petras or Hill.

EIU had 3 major NFLers alone and not even MO Valley.

Also, for the record, I was never nearly as sharply critical of him as others were when he was playing.
But quitting on the team the last few weeks of the season? That was garbage. Much respect lost.
How about not quit on the team when you get benched? How about walk out for senior Day? He was handled with kid’s gloves because he was Kirk and Brian’s guy. Any other respectable program he would have been benched after ISU game.
And he should bench himself? It’s on the coaches not the player. He tried and failed. Coaches failed at evaluating talent. I have no ill will towards Cade and I just don’t understand why people do…
He didn't do his best. He quit at the end of the year after he was told he no longer was going to be the starter.

Did he try his best? He was healthy and cleared for the last 2 games of the season but allowed a 5th stringer go out there and lead the team.
The biggest problem was the coaches. Poor initial assessment which they then doubled, tripled and quadrupled down on.
Cade took the money they were foolishly willing to give him. Now he's moving on. Meh.

And he was terrible. They won those last 2 games without him. Who knows if they would have won had he played? He's doing everyone a favor by moving on, and that's what every Iowa fan should do.
