Caitlin Clark- Wow!!

I have checked the big ten network to see if Iowa woman's game might be televised but have seen nothing but football replays for the most part. Does anybody have a schedule that might indicate when I might be able to watch them play. Also, is anybody found a place I can stream it from?
Thank you in advance, I'm not as whippy with this stuff as I was a few decades ago.

Impressive! She is doing things that many men wish they could do. Yes, I understand it is against women, but a behind the back, step back three (from men's range) is not just common place. I enjoy good basketball - and she is good at basketball!

She is impressive. The Bulldogs led the entire way, though, when she was getting all her points. She picked up her 3rd foul in the 3rd period. Drake was ahead by 11 points. From that point on, Iowa pounded it into the low post. Drake had no answer for Czinano.

Both teams played really well ... it did seem to me that Iowa’s fitness level was markedly better than Drake’s. Bulldogs really started turning it over at the end of the 3rd and whole 4th quarter. That allowed Iowa to really turn the tide. Also, Iowa seemed to get every loose ball.

I have the distinct impression that this chain could be placed as a permanent posting on this message board. ( at least for the next 4 years!)

While enthusiasm is great, somebody needs to take the bottle away from the Iowa PA guy. He is either drunk or on drugs. It is rather embarrassing.

It's actually neither. Trying to build excitement at the games. May stand out more with no crowd.

Go to btnplus.com which is where the majority of women's regular season games may be watched. You will need to pay however, just choose the Iowa school option for $9.99 per month. You will get access to all Iowa content, not just women's basketball & that includes past games from several years back. I go month to month then cancel it once the season ends.

If you don't want that option, they may appear on regular BTN/Fox a few times or possibly ESPN but those games are few & far between.

The PA guy has posted on here saying that he's doing what he's asked to do.

The PA guy is a terrific person and is told to announce on a manner to create excitement. The men’s announcer is the opposite and in my opinion could dial it up a lot.

There's creating excitement and then there's cringe-worthy. Hey, if the girls feed off it/enjoy it, then keep it up without question, but honestly it has kept me from going to games. It's just too over-the-top for me to listen to, and IMO a distraction.

Even Jeff Linder was making fun of the PA announcer tonight on Twitter during the game. Hope the message gets through to somebody but not confident.

UnIowa and the rest that I offend when announcing, I apologize. My intent isn’t to keep Larry MullenJr or anyone else away. I’m not on drugs or drunk as some on here suggested.

I am merely doing what I’ve been told. Coach Bluder and her staff are terrific and these women deserve a lot of support. GO HAWKS. 39 in a row!

Mphawk, I’ll visit with administration and see if they want change. Don’t mean to offend or embarrass anyone.

I hate to see you be the butt of jokes. It’s a hard enough job. I”m sure the twenty-somethings in Marketing think it is the preferred style now. Think Gus Johnson. There must be a happy medium.

I’ve got really thick skin doing this for 22 seasons. I don’t get offended. Some like you and some hate you. Goes with the job. It probably is more evident this year with empty arenas. I’ve been told announce like normal.

No one is more happy to see all Iowa teams succeed. Great 2 year run.

You do you buddy. I think it would come off different if there were a few thousand fans at the game that would be clapping and shouting right along with it.

I'm mid 60 year old and I think your doing a fine job. The UNI game was a little loud, but than BTN+ didn't have any announcers doing the game. Tonight with announcers it was just fine.

I think it’s more about the volume in an empty arena. We have attended home games for years and it works much better with crowd noise / excitement. The empty arenas are just bazaar all the way around. You know what they say if they can’t take a joke. 😎

Back to Clark... I realize the season is young, but at the current pace... she'll be unanimous 1st team AA and POY.

Opponents will be game planning her for the rest of her career. Imagine the opportunities for her teammates in the years to come? Could also spurn even better recruits to join her.

I'm a little worried she might get snubbed if Iowa doesn't have a big year. If Iowa finishes in the top 20 or 25 this year, it's really hard to deny her. If Iowa finishes unranked, voters might just say her stats are overinflated on a bad team.

Still, it is crazy to think that it's possible Iowa could have the Big Ten player of the year for 6 or 7 consecutive seasons if Clark stays healthy.

Yeah, well Gus Johnson annoys a lot of people, too, and, he seems a little to full of his own success. He didn't do himself any favors with those insurance commercials.

What you are being asked to do is insane, at least at that decibel level in an empty arena that is full of echo, I can only guess the order was made by people who are hearing impaired.

Certainly not a personal attack, but it’s over the top. It’s too much. Anyone who thinks that is needed, the whole game, is out of their mind. Enthusiasm needs to be spontaneous, not every possession.

I say keep doing what you're doing, the energy that you bring is much needed especially with no fans in the seats. My friends and I got to talking after the Iowa State game about how fun it would have been to be in Carver with the crowd and your announcing.
