Mrs. spider (no pic) and I just received our Repetition Black/Gold and Ascent Black/Silver editions yesterday. Size 7s were sold out but we were able to get 6s for both. Doing our part.

Despite the countless records Caitlin Clark broke this season and all the accolades along with shattering attendance & viewership records, somehow Nike (whose stock has massively dipped the last few years) has not only dropped the bag on CC merch or a CC shoe, they haven't even as much as tweeted anything about her since April 7.
Not even a congratulations on any of her many accomplishments or awards. Nothing. Radio silence.
Something is seriously wrong at Nike and it smells really, really funky.

Geesh, what a terrible position Nike got themselves into with the racial issues within the WNBA. All this bad publicity for Nike won't really hurt future sales of Caitlin merchandise, but it's probably going to absolutely tank any shoe dropping beforehand. Imagine the shakeup at Nike will probably focus on getting the sales/stock value back up, so it will be interesting to see what they end up doing. Waiting though, is just flushing money down the drain.

I disagree. How many athletes/celebrities have worn Clark jerseys? Look at her rookie playing card. They should have designed a shoe based on the Kobe version while she was still at Iowa.
Really? So you don't think that holding off on her shoe for maybe three years so as to not effect launching Aja Wilson shoe rollout, isn't going to cost them $$ the next several years? The term "strike while the irons hot" comes to mind.
It would be interesting to see what these sponsorships add up to for Caitlin on an annual basis.
This golf event is part of her Gainbridge endorsement deal, of course.

The ONLY reason I have watched a WNBA game or know who A'Ja Wilson is is because of CC. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Still kinda wondering if the USC stars are going to dip into each others stat lines. Could be an interesting storyline with Watkins following that first season.

Again though its funny that anyone would give CC any grief over this appearance. This is part of her contract with Gainbridge. She's not playing IN the tournament or competing for the prize money. She's playing in the pro am which is on Wednesday. The tourney will be Thursday -Sunday like any other golf event. The winers just don't want her drawing attention away from the field of players....Just read that the purse is 3.25 mil. I wish there was some TV for this.
