Yikes! Looks like the Okie State series was fools gold. Going to be a big step back this year compared to the last four under Heller I fear.
Why I hate the college baseball RPI system, win 2/3 and fall 36 spots.
I was just coming here to ask if they really fell that much after winning the series this weekend. Granted its still early and RPI swings are a little exaggerated at this point but you shouldn't be punished for winning a series.
Hopefully CSUN can go on a nice little run and improve their RPI.
Love what Judkins and McCaffrey did this weekend. It could have been an ugly weekend if those two didn't step up on Sunday.
We lost a ton of talent from last year, they should be doing just fine (if all stay healthy) by mid season.
By 'mid-season' I hope you mean this weekend. Iowa opens B1G play at Indiana (60) this weekend and hosts Illinois (8) next weekend. Iowa is going to need to make some hay in the RPI in these series' if they have any chance of getting an at-large bid. Especially this weekend as they don't have many good RPI road chances left on the schedule. We all know how much home wins factor into the RPI...
