Has Josh Jackson at #9 to 49ers. Highest draft position I've seen.

I have seen several mock drafts where Chicago takes him one spot earlier. I have also seen a mock draft where the Dolphins take him a couple of picks later. I have seen him being picked #15 as well.
Looks like a pretty high pick for Josh!
I also saw another mock awhile ago where he lasted until early in round 2, but again, that was awhile ago.
Just saw the other day he has a 40+ inch vert which means stock will rise at combine. Plus the fact iowa DB’s are showing out in the NFL
I hope all these guys just get drafted by a good team that poor Kirksey has to be wondering WTF did I do to deserve this. I'm sorry bears fans but 2 teams I hope don't select Iowa kids are Browns and Bears.
I don't have a lot of faith in this draft as they do not have Denver taking a QB. I will guarantee they take a QB with their first pick. Not a Denver fan, but man do they have needs there. Their QB pool is shallow.
True, but he could be wealthy playing for a decent team as well, and a lot happier.........Kirksey is anything but poor....
As a Denver fan, I hope to gawd they don't take a QB in the top 5...the Broncos have so many other needs, including but not limited to the offensive line. If one of those can't miss tackles are available at 5, I hope Denver goes that direction.
You are correct, but I dont remember being shocked by that pick.Would be the first top 10 pick of an Iowa DB, I believe, since the great scratcher that was Arizona selecting Tom Knight No. 9 in the 1997 Draft. I still remember the shock on my father's face as he quietly mumbled to himself: Holy $***.
Interesting. Not arguing with a Denver fan as you have watched them this year way more then me, but damn their quarterbacks are terrible. What's your thoughts on addressing that? Seriously curious.
And Hyde too, helps that we have the same staff coaching that coached these same players. Not to mention KF speaks very highly of JJ-which carries a lot of weight in the NFL world. Just recently saw a tweet about how Iowa players rarely perform below their draft position and more often than not perform much higher.Agreed. King being a "steal" in the 5th is going to help JJ's stock quite a bit. Iowa DB Cred.

Also a bronco fan here. There is a lot of talk around here about Kirk Cousins in free agency for the Broncos. not sure that is what will happen, but that is probably why you are not seeing the Broncos take a qb with the fifth pick. Broncos need lots of help right now. The O-line is atrocious.
Kirksey is anything but poor....
Kisksey just signed a big contract last year maybe a better chance they go after Hitchens because right now he is a UFA with a big market valueDon't be surprised if Kirksey ends up with Pittsburgh. With Shazier injury he may be done with football and Steelers will be looking for a long term ILB. Browns in nuclear mode with the new staff so could see Kiksey leaving via free agency.

It has been a long time since we've had a guy go significantly higher than expected early in the draft. Dallas Clark is an obvious choice as none of us saw him going in the 1st round. Most of us thought he was a 2nd or 3rd rounder back in 2003.
I think right now being a top 10 pick would classify him as significantly higher than expected. Prior to the combine I think he's commonly been listed as a late 1st - early 2nd pick. Let's hope he doesn't have a significant drop like Des did which cost him a lot of money compared to the value he brought as a rookie.
Wow, that is a lot of frauds for one nfl teamIf SF took JJ at #9, they would have Jackson, Greg Mabin, George Kittle and CJ Beathard.
you're forgiven but being on the Bears defense is certainly a pretty good place to be right nowI hope all these guys just get drafted by a good team that poor Kirksey has to be wondering WTF did I do to deserve this. End of the third round in the compensatory picks is early in the draft?CJ Beathard went way earlier than he was supposed to go, didn't he?
