Good God, quit trying to backtrack. The main point of your original post - OSU blew $20 million. I think almost everyone agrees now - as they're hoisting the NC trophy - that it was money well spent.

Buy? They only brought in 6 Portal Transfers ...... the rest of the OSU NC lineup (90%) was made up of their annual top 3 or 4 recruiting classes. Give them credit. They've been an annual B1G-NC contender for several decades and it's not like NIL money suddenly put them in this position. They've only had 2 losing seasons going back to the early 1960s

Hopefully you clowns are ok with this statement: Oregon blew $23M on a roster that only resulted in an Elite 8 (quarterfinal) finish in the College Football Playoff.
I'd look at it a different way, they didn't perform up to spec for the regular season, but they stepped it up in the post season. No different than NFL teams that blow money on guys like Aaron Rogers in NY. That worked well!
