If Iowa wins along with Clemson and Bama, Iowa will be the 3 seed and Oklahoma will drop to 4. Why? No way they put OU in Dallas as a visitor.
If Clemson loses and Iowa wins, I could see the committee putting OU 2 and Iowa 3. JMO
Yes.I don't understand what you mean in the first scenario? That it would be unfair for Oklahoma's opponent to have to play them in Dallas?.
you make it sound like you have a secret source of info. you read this on TOS.If Iowa wins along with Clemson and Bama, Iowa will be the 3 seed and Oklahoma will drop to 4. Why? No way they put OU in Dallas as a visitor.

I think Iowa should be at least 2 if they win, they would be undefeated and have a better win than both Bama and OU, same goes for MSU if they win. It gets real interesting if Clemson or Bama loses this weekend, would they committee really put OSU in the playoff and leave the loser of the BTCC out?
I think the committee would put Clemson and Iowa in a first-round game in order to avoid a Clemson-Iowa championship game.
I have no source other than common sense and I certainly didn't read this on TOS. based on geography, the only way OU would be able play in Dallas is if they are 1 or 2. I don't see that happening.you make it sound like you have a secret source of info. you read this on TOS.
If Clemson loses and Iowa wins we would play Oklahoma. Bama vs. Ohio State. If Clemson wins we'd probably jump Oklahoma and get Bama.
If we lose we will miss the Rose bowl and I'll bask in an undefeated regular season. This will be the season we talk about for years regardless.
True, but a blue bloods nightmare only helps CFB in the end. Having more teams capable of winning a NC is a great thing all around. The 'blue bloods' have had their time.Clemson vs Iowa in a title game is their and the "blue bloods" worst nightmare
Yes. When I saw NC at 10 I instantly thought that it is exactly what OSU needed. They WILL jump the loser of The BTCC game and they need NC to beat Clemson, but NC will not be rewarded with a top 4 spot due to scheduling. Committee will not reward a team for that. It really comes down the the NC/Clemson game for OSU. NC wins and OSU is in along with BT Champ, Oklahoma and Alabama. And no, Florida has no shot at Alabama short of kick returns and defensive TDs for Florida. If this hold true then we go to the Rose Bowl IF we lose Saturday.
I think if the Hawks win we stay at #4 and if we lose we go to #5. Same with MSU.
If Clemson loses, I would almost guarantee that OSU gets jumped by a conference champion. It happened last year and it would happen again this year.
What about Stanford?

I think if we lose and Stanford wins we are in the Rose. No way an idle #6 Ohio State teams stays ahead of a #7 Stanford that wins its CCG. And no way a undefeated, division champion who just lost their CCG drops more than 2 spots. Sets up #5 Iowa vs #6 Stanford in the Rose and #7 Ohio State vs #8 Notre Dame in the Fiesta. This all depends on Clemson taking care of business.

If Iowa loses, they will be lucky to still be in the Top 10. The committee is just waiting for Iowa to lose a game so they can be dropped like a hot potato. So you think if we lose we only drop one spot? I sure hope you are right. Then again I hope I don't have to worry about it either! I can see the committee in a lather thinking about an OSU/ND matchup.

I've never wanted an Iowa victory more than this coming Saturday.

Most likely correct as they would want an OU/Bama title game.Either way I think Iowa will play Bama. Under no circumstances will OU play in Dallas unless they are a 1 or 2 seed which they won't be.
At the risk of being seen as a conspiracy theorist, I don't think you can dismiss the fact that only the BiG and the SEC each have two representatives on the committee. They will look after Alabama. Alabama is their cash cow. They don't really want Alabama to play Oklahoma in Dallas. Dallas is loaded with Oklahoma fans. There is a lot more at play then who people think are the 4 best teams ranked 1 - 4.
You can also tell that the committee is also hoping to somehow sneak Ohio St back in if Clemson and or Alabama goes down. They like their big name schools in these playoffs. Even if Stanford wins im not sure the get in over Ohio St if a spot opens back up. This is also why the Big 12 needs a conference championship. Clemson, Alabama and Iowa are all risking their playoff spot this weekend by playing an extra game while Oklahoma gets to just sit home. For the record I still think Ohio St is the best team in the country. They just had a stupid gameplan for that MSU game and they never believed they needed to change it. Now they get penalized for losing late in the season to the #5 team while Alabama and Oklahoma have had their losses to lesser opponents forgotten.
