Lets say you guys beat michigan state. If Bama and Clemson win you will most likey be sitting at 2 or 3 playing a 2 or 3 Bama.

If clemson loses you will be be 1 or 2 playing oklahoma, stanford or ohio state.

If both Bama and clemson lose you will be 1 playing stanford, ohio state or north carolina.

What do you guys prefer?

If there is a team capable of pissing down their leg, I see that as Clemson.

I just don't see a scenario where you play clemson in the first round. No way you don't hop at least oklahoma if you beat michigan state

Honestly, the opponent doesn't matter to me. Just being there is all I care about right now. When you get to the final four teams, any team you play is going to be good and you are going to have to beat anyone of them. I suppose Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield is the kind of quarterback that historically gives Iowa fits, but Texas and TCU have shown that they aren't invincible. I think Iowa can beat any of the teams you mentioned not have to rely on luck or the other team playing bad. I also think any of the teams you mentioned can beat Iowa.

I would think that when the #4 Hawks are 13-0 over #5 MSU for the B1G title, that no one loss team will be above them and they'll be at least #2.

Go Hawks! 15-0

The committee will be in a real bind if North Carolina were to knock off Clemson. They obviously couldn't leave Clemson in and UNC out. But it would be difficult to justify Alabama, Ohio State, etc. as better than Clemson. Clemson's only loss would have been to 1-loss UNC, and they have beaten Florida State and Notre Dame, who are both better than anyone Alabama, Ohio State, or Oklahoma have beaten. At least Ohio State's loss was also to a good team, but the other don't have much of a case outside of the conference championship.

Real rankings should be:
#1 Alabama
#2 Oklahoma
#3 Iowa
#4 Clemson

Alabama and Oklahoma should not play each other in the first round

I wonder if they'd like to keep Bama and Sooners paired in semis so that one of them HAS to make the final? No way they want Clemson vs MSU or Iowa in the final. Similar to last year they assured themselves of having Bama or OSU in the final

And an undefeated Iowa should be behind Oklahoma who lost to Texas who Iowa State totally shut out and destroyed and Iowa State also lost to that same undefeated Iowa team? Oklahoma State didn't beat Iowa State by much either, which was one of Oklahoma's "big wins". BIg 12's wins were mostly against each other and hardly any decent nonconference wins to show that these big offense teams with no defense were actually any good or not to justify their record, which still isn't as good as Iowa's (or Clemson's) is.

Iowa didn't beat Iowa State by much, either.

Comparative scores may not be infallible.

If Clemson wins and Iowa wins, Iowa will jump Oklahoma......they do not want to put OK in Dallas unless they were a #1. It would be Iowa/Bama in Dallas.
