How many mediocre quarterbacks can they rosterDang. Should go to Chicago.
I just don't understand how he can't get a legitimate shot at a starting job.
He does pretty well when his OL isn't trying to kill him.

I guess CJ at least has upside. They other two sure as hell don’t
Dang. Should go to Chicago.
That was my only point. I am not a Bears fan at all but would CJ have a chance to beat out Minshew? I would hope so.
trevor Lawrence is going to be the top QB in Ajax. CJ could compete and beat out Minshew but Lawrence is going to be the Guy

Not too shabby.
His numbers were actually pretty good last season. That 2018 Oline was just horrendous. Russell Wilson wouldnt be able navigate that mess. He did solid in 2020 and the line was still suspect.
He has started many games. What you see is what you get. A very good backup option who can get you through 3-5 games w/o tanking the season. Arguably the best job in the world.I just don't understand how he can't get a legitimate shot at a starting job.

This is what they call “barely getting by” living in SF.
he didn’t have an o line or weapons when he startedHe has started many games. What you see is what you get. A very good backup option who can get you through 3-5 games w/o tanking the season. Arguably the best job in the world.
He had plenty to show if he's a starting NFL qbhe didn’t have an o line or weapons when he started
Agreed, no QB looks good with an awful OL, and I believe that year his receivers did him no favors with a lot of drops. That 2018 Oline was just horrendous. Russell Wilson wouldnt be able navigate that mess. He did solid in 2020 and the line was still suspect.
Probably tough to find a place to live out there for that pay hahahaThis is what they call “barely getting by” living in SF.

Into retirement money! CJ would be eligible for around $25K at 55. Plus, the NFL 401K matching program is 2 dollars for every $1 contributed up to $28,000 per year. Plus the NFL pays for your supplemental insurance once you hit 65.In 4 seasons with the 49'ers, CJ earned $3,528,646

He was done in Houston to begin with, now he might just be done with the NFL.Just heard on SIRIUS that Watson is facing something like 12 sexual harassment suits, some of which are already on file. FWIW---there might be an opening in Houston.

I don't want CJ anywhere near that dumpster fire of an organization though.
But because he lived in that state he only came away with 50% of it. I'd never live in California no matter how beautiful it is.In 4 seasons with the 49'ers, CJ earned $3,528,646

One of the greatest nights of my life. I will never forget it.Maybe Urban Meyer thinks CJ was the QB during this...
I read once that players pay taxes in each state where they play. So California didn't get all his state income taxes. Assuming that's true. But because he lived in that state he only came away with 50% of it. I'd never live in California no matter how beautiful it is.

So if Chicago had selected Mahomes. How much better would they be as a team or is the program so much of a train wreck it would not have mattered?DUH, Bears!!!
Even @Moral could not have screwed up the 2017 NFL Draft like the Bears did.
In the 2017 NFL Draft:
#2 Overall Pick: the Chicago Bears selected Mitchell Trubisky
#10 Overall Pick: the KC Chiefs selected Patrick Mahomes
#12 Overall Pick: the Houston Texans selected Deshaun Watson
#104 Overall Pick: the SF 49'ers selected CJ Beathard.
Trubisky is now done in Chicago (after 4 seasons) & will play in Buffalo this season as a BACK UP to Josh Allen.
He had issues pulling the trigger on time.... But yes... that OL was trash. I initially thought we was drafted into a good situation. Fresh new offense based on the run, and a chance to sit behind a vet that had been around... 4 games in and he was the dude. Almost impossible situation to have success for a QB of his makeup.Agree

If I were to pick out CJ's weakness, it was pulling the trigger. But damn that boy can take a licking. He had issues pulling the trigger on time.... But yes... that OL was trash. Sounds like he lost the dad bod.... hopefully gets another shotIf I were to pick out CJ's weakness, it was pulling the trigger. But damn that boy can take a licking.
Maybe Urbs starts the season with CJB as the starter to give TL time to mature. Maybe that leads to opportunities elsewhere for CJB in the long run.trevor Lawrence is going to be the top QB in Ajax. CJ could compete and beat out Minshew but Lawrence is going to be the Guy
CJB and TL can share hair care secrets during fall camp.Maybe Urbs starts the season with CJB as the starter to give TL time to mature. Maybe that leads to opportunities elsewhere for CJB in the long run.
could you be referring to the michigan win in which cj played? the gifs appear to be from the osu daytime game. One of the greatest nights of my life. I will never forget it.
