CJ Beathard to Jacksonville (2 Years, $5 Million). In 4 seasons with the 49'ers, CJ earned $3,528,646

Hi, Hick in Ark.

You seem a bit unhinged. Again. I guess that's what happens when you move down to Hickville Arkansas.

Do you ever post anything useful? Don't answer, Hick. We already know.
Please back off on the anti-Arkansas bigotry. Because that's all this is. Criticize the posts if you want. But please refrain from perpetuating damaging and hurtful stereotypes.

So, as an Arkansan maybe you know the answer. Did anyone ever ride their llama from Peru to Texarkana or did Neal Young just make that up? Are there even llama's in Arkansas.

He did not have a choice.
How much money would you need to live in a "Beautiful state?" I'm serious. How much more would you require to live there as opposed to other states. Since there are 49 other states I'll leave it to you to say what salary would make you comfortable.

CJ has played well in this offseason. One hit away from starting. Always thought Lawrence and Fields were very overrated. If I'm right we might see CJ given a chance to start, although its a low probability-but not entirely implausible either.

Kirwan says most teams will keep three QBs on the active roster. That probably means Nate's on someone's roster before the season ends. Having ex QBs in the NFL has to help recruiting at that position.

So I'm pretty sure this was the Jags plan all along since CJ had guaranteed money and Minshew was on a rookie deal. I doubt they would have kept all 3 on the roster. Wish they would have gotten more for Minshew though.

He was drafted to play there, not much of a choice where to live. I think you are mixing up my post with someone elses.

Nice, FREE article.

What do you want from Minnesota to send C.J. over?.............

We need a backup.

I watch that team just to see CJ play. I think he has a great chance to get noticed around the the League. I hope he seizes every opportunity.
Keep working and getting better CJ!

Was carted off the practice field...

Groin injury, but the extent of the injury isn’t known yet; they are awaiting the results from an MRI.

Update provided on C.J. Beathard's injury after he was carted from practice

June 7, 2022

Jacksonville Jaguars backup quarterback C.J. Beathard left the team’s seventh organized team activity practice early after having to be carted off the field with an unknown injury. The injury was one where he was down for a few minutes before being taken back for examinations.

However, later Monday afternoon, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero was able to provide somewhat of an update. According to his sources, the injury was a groin injury, but the extent of the injury isn’t known yet as the veteran is awaiting results from an MRI.

Beathard joined the Jags last season and entered the regular season as their No. 2 quarterback behind rookie Trevor Lawrence after a strong preseason. Beathard previously played with the San Francisco 49ers before signing with the Jags and was drafted by John Lynch and Co. in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Iowa.

After being the No. 2 behind Lawrence in 2021, Beathard entered this offseason with a 58.7% completion rate (293-of-499) for 3,502 yards, 13 interceptions, and 18 touchdowns. And while he didn’t start in a single game last season, he came into this offseason with the most experience in terms of players behind Lawrence with 12 starts to his name.

The Jags entered OTAs with four quarterbacks, so they still have depth at the position if Beathard’s injury is severe. Behind Lawrence now is Jake Luton, who the Jags drafted in 2020 and has three career starts. They also have undrafted rookie EJ Perry, who the team signed after April’s draft out of Brown University.
