CJB: "I'm positive I'll play"

Seriously? There can't be more than one. I knew of a Puddin' at one point. Was from Bama I believe. I knew him in PA, and last I knew he was in OH.
Patrick Pesnell from Birmingham area?

It might a coincidence that he's from Alabama...or maybe it's a common nickname in the south.

I love CJ's attitude and desire to get that extra yard BUT he absolutely has to be smarter otherwise he will not finish the season without missing some playing time.

Yeah on that monster hit he took near the goal line last week, he started to cut up field and got blasted instead of going out of bounds.

When CJB steps on the field Saturday Morning, I will believe it. I remember the Iowa @ Syracuse game where Tate sat out for Jason Manson. Nobody knew about it until about two hours before kickoff.

That was also way before social media made it easy to spread injury news/rumors. Back then, the only person who probably knew was SP.

My nickname for my youngest son growing up was "Sweetness" because he was a sweet little boy...a gem...he is now a Green Beret in the Army...and I still call him Sweetness... He doesn't seem to mind at all.

The Late Walter Payton's nickname too...he was manly too--just for the record...

Holy crap that is some tortured logic right there.

Try this....... substitute "Sally" for "Sunshine"

Calling a man a feminine name does not mean one hates women.

The same goes for feminine sounding nicknames Calling a man a feminine sounding nickname does not mean one hates women. For instance, if my nickname for you is "pussy lips" that does not in any way insinuate that I hate women (or their feminine body parts).
But it would demand a good story.

It would be nice if we had an experienced backup QB ready to play when need be.

Not to worry, I happen to be in Michigan this week on business and plan to snatch Jake and bring him back with me for this weekend. Should have him back in IC by Thursday evening, and by Friday morning the medication will have worn off and he should be ready to go.

Not necessary. We have a backup and everyone knows he's better than the starter.

This is hilarious reading. I couldn't make this stuff up! Thank you for making my afternoon pass more quickly, guys.

FYI, according to my kid the players usually refer to CJB as "CJ", although they probably have other nicknames for his as well. My kid has at least 5 nicknames he's been given by his teammates. I think every player on the team has at least one nickname.
