I don't live in the nicest house ever. There are quite a few that people have modified with pools, patios, bird cages, and all other kinds of home improvements. I have a simple 3/3 with a lanai, screened in front porch and screened in garage. And I would bet someone out there would want my life. I don't have to work anymore. Who doesn't want that?

Ooh boy, a lot of assumptions in there my friend. If by group think you mean we put more confidence in reliable sources of information and avoid obviously biased, slanted and outright misrepresentations of facts then you are correct, we are engaging in what you deem as group think.
I think you'd be very surprised that many of us take in information from less than reliable sources like Slay News because it's good to know what a certain segment of our population is digesting without critically analyzing the information for validity and truthfulness. It helps to know how fellow citizens are being misled so we can point out the fallacies that are being peddled to people who don't take the time to vet that information.
As far as opinions go, they're just like assholes. We all have them and they all stink. That's why I try to confine my information consumption to verifiable facts. Opinions are complete bullshit without corroborating evidence to bolster and support them. One of the problems here is that a lot of folks are heavily invested in believing in the federal government. If the federal government is corrupt, or has an agenda, or best case just makes mistakes, well there's just nothing else to believe in. When the mistakes are proven, the narrative changes until it fits. In this case the narrative changed on efficacy and safety. We are then told how many lives were saved to justify the risk when the risk wasn't the same for everyone. We made decisions based on lies (COVID vaccines prevent infection and spread) when factors like spread weren't even part of the testing.
Of course we have to go with good faith efforts at times, but it's simply wrong to push an agenda based on lies. It's telling that the FDA refused to provide test documentation until ordered by a federal court, and then said it would take 75 years to release it.
