Coach K Now Has Concerns Playing Season Since 2-2 Start

Bilas started parroting Coach K last night when he was watching his Dookies get squashed by the Illini. Maybe we should rethink starting this season. Have to wonder if he's spouting the same crap if they're 4-0 and looking great.

The answer is no if Duke is 4-0.

Duke can always opt out of the season if they'd like.

Bilas Twitter is all cheerleading for no basketball

Yea, since we aren't a title contender this year after playing our first few games I think we should just stop for the year. What is different between now and two weeks ago other than knowing how his team stacks up this year!?

FIFY - 4th word from end.

Duke board is even solidifying that cbb should be postponed or canceled. Pretty pathetic once it's obvious they are no good they are pushing for this.

We always knew there would be cancellations and postponements headed into this season.

If it's all about safety, being part of a team and being tested and following protocols every day is about the most-safe place any college basketball player could be. They would be less safe if sent home.

If a player is positive, they know it immediately and are quarantined and have access to great health care. It sucks for the players that they can't play in front of fans and have to do all this testing and social distancing. But if the entire season is cancelled and no NCAA tournament is played, there would be many schools that would have to shut down basketball altogether. Schools are already reeling from loss of revenue from cancellation of NCAA tournament last year. If they had to cancel again, many of the non-power conference teams would not survive.

Agree about the hypocrite Coach K has turned out to be and what a tool Bilas is, but that aside, it probably would have been wise to push the season to around Feb. 1. Experts like Dr. Fauci predicted this winter disaster months and months ago. He and his colleagues said winter would be a disaster if people didn't follow the rules, too many haven't--which also was predictable--and so here we are.

The season could have been played February, March, and April with, as a few suggested, "May Madness." With vaccines coming out in days, postponing the season to that time frame might even have allowed for fans by April or May.

The facts on the ground may well force the season to be paused anyway. Things will continue to get worse as hordes of Americans continue to ignore reality. So I won't be surprised if the season is halted within the next couple of weeks and resumed in February or March. It's difficult to see how it can continue with so many games being lost to the virus.

You need to be the spokesperson!

Coach K wants the season paused because his team sucks. Just wait, he will bitch and moan until the losses are stricken from his record, just like he did when his assistant had to take over when he was out with back issues. Used to be a Duke fan until he sold his soul.

The blue bloods and all that support them will be just fine. ESPN will just come out with a new documentary. "The Second Class That Saved Coach K"
