Thoughts on the great coach K dealing with failure?
This was pretty much my take. Very softball/typical post loss question didn't warrant the condescending response and the analogy was dumb.Thought the question was fine. His response was pathetic and truly only of the worst analogies I’ve ever heard.
I think Duke will be the first power 5 to opt outWasn't it coach K that wanted to cancel the season. He just can't handle the heat. It's easy to be a coach when you win.

Uh if anything Coach K is acting like a Karen in the video. The guy is offended by the most generic post loss question in the world.People are making a federal case about that response?
Not a big fan of his either but I really didn't see anything disrespectful in the response.
Richard's and Karen's offended everywhere.
The whiny Carpenter's on full display....
I don't see it as that big a deal. Tomato / tomatoeUh if anything Coach K is acting like a Karen in the video. The guy is offended by the most generic post loss question in the world.
One may think a coach that has had far worse questions asked could handle that simple, honest question better. Perhaps it is the anti bullying culture that is building.I don't see it as that big a deal. Tomato / tomatoe
Exactly, it's not a "big deal" but a little ridiculous reaction. The real humor is that it's Coach K dealing with being bad and might need to learn a little humility. One may think a coach that has had far worse questions asked could handle that simple, honest question better. Agree. Just answer the student's question. Gee whiz.Seems very condescending and arrogant...,it’s a college kid, figure out how to answer the kid without being petty.
The reaction probably stems from the ‘holier than thou’ image that Coach K attempts to portray. He was condescending and rude to someone who effectively has no grounds to reply or defend themselves. A perfect example of a bully. Think he responds that way to Pat Forde or Andy Katz or anyone else that can put him on blast and call him out? Doubtful.Exactly, it's not a "big deal" but a little ridiculous reaction. The real humor is that it's Coach K dealing with being bad and might need to learn a little humility.
WTF was wrong with that? Jeez, seems like student can learn about how to ask more relevant, thoughtful questions.

He can certainly come up with a better question than "what does the future hold", or plan on a different career. Granted, he's learning. Hope he did.Asking about the team going forward isn't relevant?
Even experienced reporters treat coaches (especially famous ones like K) with kids gloves after losses for fear of getting chewed like this kid did or fear of retribution/loss of access to the team. K saw that it was a student reporter and subconsciously knew it was an easy target for him to take his frustration out on in that moment. He can certainly come up with a better question than "what does the future hold", or plan on a different career. I thought the question was fair. Coach TwoFace's arrogant + condescending response clearly reinforces why I can't stand him. Would he have responded that way to an established, veteran reporter? I think not. The guy is a puke.
Yep. Answering the question with a question. Just a straight answer would do.He's a college reporter asking a basic question.
