Players still have to play. Can’t coach getting off the ball and blowing people up.And who is supposed to be the o line guru? What a fraud!
Lack of push from the Center and one of the Guards has been an issue all year as well..You do realize we lost both starting OT's to injury, correct? Jackson and Wirfs are huge and athletic, but there's a lot more to playing offensive tackle than physical attributes. They have very little experience, and it's killing our offense (among other things).
Our offense would be much more effective worh our starting tackles in there and Jackson and Wirfs where they should be right now -- on the sideline learning.

I thought we actually got quite a bit of pressure, even if they were a result of good coverage.Northwestern's offensive line came in as one of the worst in terms of giving up sacks, and yet our DL rarely got within the same zip code as Thorson.

Right -- as if they're making a concerted effort not to have depth on the O-line or anywhere else on the roster. But that's an annual event with the Hawks, injuries, no experienced depth. Kinda thinking that might be a paradigm they would want to change.
That doesn't say much for our recruiting when the 2nd string O-line are kids that shouldn't be playing, does It?You do realize we lost both starting OT's to injury, correct? And that's saying a lotOf all the things wrong with this team, the OL is my biggest disappointment. Just plain bad.
No. Point out where I ever said anything positive about our recruiting. Good luck. That doesn't say much for our recruiting when the 2nd string O-line are kids that shouldn't be playing, does It?
