Color Me Impressed

I’ve got to tip my cap to this team and Fran. When it comes to hype, attention and any other favor or break that ISU gets but we just quietly sit back and go about our business and win games.

Iowa reminds me a little bit of one of Bo's final 4 teams. Not quite as many shooters and high level talent. Garza is type of difference maker that Frank Kamminski was. Garza at 1st team all America level.

Multiple PG's does wonders for ball security. Same thing as in 15-16 when we were on fire. I think we had like 19 turnovers vs DePaul. We had 2 turnovers in the first half tonight.

It's a concern that we might be down another PG going forward, but Toussaint was excellent tonight other than his final minute of action. If he plays like that going forward, Iowa will be just fine.

If this team defends, it can win a lot. Multiple shooters, multiple ball handlers, elite paint player. JBO is also elite in preserving leads in end of game situations.

Joe t adds that something we’ve been lacking. He ain’t sceered.

Joe T knows how to absorb and initiate contact. He’s really impressive playing downhill. This offseason he’s needs to shoot a million threes and really work on lowering his dribble. If he develops that, he’s got a high, high ceiling.

as hell with this team. They put on a clinic at Hilton. Terrific play by almost everyone.

Is this the same Iowa team that lost to DePaul? I don't think so. They compliment each other so well on the floor, it's just impressive as hell.
DePaul was a helluva better team than given credit for, and they already had 4 games under their belt compared to our 2. That makes a lot of difference early in the season. But DePaul was not a terrible loss.

So, is Iowa State good enough to make this look like a good win for our hawks? All things considered, it just looked too easy.
