I can’t blame any parent for keeping their kids out of the public school system.
You can’t stop yourself. Again, you don’t know who I know. Everything we have told you would happen has happened. You’re so full of crap you don’t even know it.You are wrong and have no insight into private schools.
I don't give a fvck about the law in Iowa. If your only defense of it is that it passed then you've already lost on the merits. You certainly haven't been able to defend it on its "merits" - and I use that term sarcastically. All you do is repeat yourselves and cry about a law that has already been passed. Not much left to do but laugh at you.
So should people on Obama Care, Medicare and Medicade be able to choose what doctors and hospitals they use? Most of the money used to pay for those services comes from tax dollars. It's a grift man.I can’t help you understand. This has been discussed over and over and either the problem isn’t sinking in, or you’re perfectly fine giving our tax dollars to people who don’t need it. If PRIVATE schools get to pick and choose, then our money shouldn’t go to them. It’s a grift, man.
Iowa City Public SchoolsAnd that was before the new law. Pretty good.
Far more diverse than most public schools across this state. And, those minority percentages will rise in coming years.
It's been sufficiently defended you just don't like the law so you refuse to accept the merits. Unions and far left zealots made their beds and now can't stand the fact they are being forced to sleep in them.I don't give a fvck about the law in Iowa. If your only defense of it is that it passed then you've already lost on the merits. You certainly haven't been able to defend it on its "merits" - and I use that term sarcastically.
Far more diverse????And that was before the new law. Pretty good.

Yep, anyone with a brain knew he was pulling stuff out of his ass with the "more diverse" part.Iowa City Public Schools
Hispanic 13%
Asian 5%
Black 23%
White 52%
Multi Race 6%
You're so stupid you don't even realize you're arguing against yourself. JFC.So should people on Obama Care, Medicare and Medicade be able to choose what doctors and hospitals they use? Most of the money used to pay for those services comes from tax dollars. It's a grift man.
Yep. That's why he resorts to making shit up. And that still doesn't sway the argument in his favor so he's left with "the law passed, deal with it" as his defense. What he doesn't realize is we are dealing with it and the groundswell will continue to grow.Yep, anyone with a brain knew he was pulling stuff out of his ass with the "more diverse" part.
Problem for Pine is that he's so far down the rabbit hole that there's no way to exit this convo gracefully.
So should people on Obama Care, Medicare and Medicade be able to choose what doctors and hospitals they use? Most of the money used to pay for those services comes from tax dollars. It's a grift man.
Yes, a majority of our public schools are spread across rural Iowa.Far more diverse????
Unless you want to reference the public schools in the far corners of Iowa.
I see, so you want to compare Regina to small town Iowa rather than the community where they reside. Makes as much sense as the rest of your arguments.Yes, a majority of our public schools are spread across rural Iowa.
Whatever you need to tell yourself to try to justify this monstrosity. My statement is that it's a more diverse school than a majority of Iowa's public schools. And, that is true.
Nowhere near what I said.Yes, a majority of our public schools are spread across rural Iowa.
I don't agree much with pinehawk on this subject but he isn't wrong on this part. Many, some, dozens, tens, however you want to quantify it. The flip side is also true. (many!!!) Families with means have also enrolled due to the handouts. Many? BS.
He didn't say more diverse than public schools he said more diverse than Regina has been previously...perspective.Yep, anyone with a brain knew he was pulling stuff out of his ass with the "more diverse" part.
Problem for Pine is that he's so far down the rabbit hole that there's no way to exit this convo gracefully.
There are far, far more families with means are getting this handout than students coming from public schools, let alone minorities coming in from public school. That's the real point here that pinehawk is desperately trying to avoid.I don't agree much with pinehawk on this subject but he isn't wrong on this part. No.He didn't say more diverse than public schools he said more diverse than Regina has been previously...perspective.
Dood...just stick to the "it's passed" defense. Everything else you post is utter stupidity. My statement is that it's a more diverse school than a majority of Iowa's public schools. And, that is true.
Funny how you call him out for throwing out numbers but yet you do the same. There are far, far more families with means are getting this handout than students coming from public schools, let alone minorities coming in from public school. That's the real point here that pinehawk is desperately trying to avoid.
I get what you are saying but you think an elementary school in kossuth county is diverse? And there are hundreds of those in all corners of Iowa. Anyway, I'm not defending the law because I actually do not agree with it so I'm done.No.
"Far more diverse than most public schools across this state."
LOL - I called him out for many things, one of which is using bogus numbers. That is funny.Funny how you call him out for throwing out numbers but yet you do the same.
Kossuth county has 17% minorities overall.I get what you are saying but you think an elementary school in kossuth county is diverse? And there are hundreds of those in all corners of Iowa. Anyway, I'm not defending the law because I actually do not agree with it so I'm done.
His many means 5.I don't agree much with pinehawk on this subject but he isn't wrong on this part. Many, some, dozens, tens, however you want to quantify it. The flip side is also true. (many!!!) Families with means have also enrolled due to the handouts.
Pine laughs at this post. This is fact which shows how GD ridiculous he is.There are far, far more families with means are getting this handout than students coming from public schools, let alone minorities coming in from public school. That's the real point here that pinehawk is desperately trying to avoid.
This is a feature, not a bug, for the voucher supporters.
Evidently a lot of the sexual assaults by the pastors kid occurred on school grounds.
Nope.It shouldn't matter what the families each individual financial situation is. All families pay in, all families should get to decide where to use their money. You are going to get rich families that want their public schools and vice versa.
The public school defenders just feel threatened now they don't have a full monopoly on your kids and the money.
I don't have children in school, should I get to decide where my education tax dollars are spent? It shouldn't matter what the families each individual financial situation is. No, when you have a child though, then you will get to decide where to take your eligible education dollars.I don't have children in school, should I get to decide where my education tax dollars are spent?
I'm 63 years old with no children, I've been contributing to the education of Iowa children all my life. I am happy to do so because I believe in education. I've always had the opportunity to vote for school board members that represent my views or to attend school board meetings where I can express my opinions. Now that some of my tax dollars go to private schools, I have no voice in how those dollars should be spent. No, when you have a child though, then you will get to decide where to take your eligible education dollars.
Yes, you do, by voting. You had a chance to vote out the people who were vocal about implementing this. But, the majority decided to move forward with Reynolds and her school choice plan anyway. Now that some of my tax dollars go to private schools, I have no voice in how those dollars should be spent.
No matter who is governor I still have a voice in public education, that's not true with private schools no matter how you spin it. I know you are very much in favor of private school vouchers, but the majority of Iowans are not.Yes, you do, by voting. You had a chance to vote out the people who were vocal about implementing this. But, the majority decided to move forward with Reynolds and her school choice plan anyway.
In a perfect world...yes. Similar to if I didn't like where a city planned to put a road, I could pull my money from the project.I don't have children in school, should I get to decide where my education tax dollars are spent?
This 1000%Yes, you do, by voting. You had a chance to vote out the people who were vocal about implementing this. But, the majority decided to move forward with Reynolds and her school choice plan anyway.
