Alright! Another happy poster. I know we wanted a national title, but we still have 6 guys fighting hard. They deserve our support!

I will stand and clap for all 6 of these guys and their hard effort but this is also the time for the Iowa wrestling program and our fans for a gut check. If Iowa wants to get back to the days of glory then everyone needs to realize this was a huge disappointment and serious questions and desicions need to be made before Iowa gives up more space to the Ohio Sts, Penn St's and all other programs that are sniffing at the heals of Iowa. It's ok to cheer for the guys wrestling for Iowa but it's not ok to accept the fact teams are passing Iowa bye or gaining on the distance. If this continues soon winning 1 or 2 championships in a decade will be a good decade for this fanbase.

Congrats to the AAs. Also, barring a collapse, hopefully a runnerup finish. Many forget that Gable had a couple of down years and then came back with another national championship run. Things are a little different today. The Hawkeyes have under performed at several weights but so have top guys from other schools (who would have thought an unranked true Freshman with 13 losses would be in the finals at 125) as well balancing the field out. I think that teams today will do well at best to get a two or three year championship run as it is very difficult to difficult to reload.
