By the way, a little word of advice for the Rose Bowl... If you aren't able to get tickets from your Athletic department, buy from Stanford. I did two years ago and got tickets for $150 a pop. Stanford will not sell their allotment. I bought 2 extra and sold them, so my tickets were essentially free!
I have been impressed with our visitors from the MSU board this week. a breath of fresh air after a week of mopping up the drool coming from the paintchip eaters out west the previous week
I’d like to see MSU win the whole thing for no other reason to watch Paul Finebaum question everything he believes in.

Congrats from this Spartan, too. Your fans were classy overall, and this was clearly the best 2 teams in Big Ten. I'm pulling for you in the Rose Bowl, something I could never do with Michigan or Ohio State. It was nice to see new blood in Championship Game, so welcome to the club.

Love the way the fans stayed and applauded our team afterwards. Such great fans on both sides.
Just wanted to share one story from Indy: there were quite a few Buckeyes there acting like, well, Buckeyes. We were walking on Georgia Street when a group of college-age Buckeyes started a huge, "OH-IO!" chant. All of a sudden, two young ladies in Hawkeyes shirts ran by doing the Geiger windmill past them, setting off a big cheer from the surrounding Spartans. So thank you, girls, for that!

Also, a shout out to the MSU fans in section 214 at Lucas Oil. We sat among many of you, and we had a great time talking throughout the game. I have to admit I wondered if it might be a little awkward once the game got going, as we're not accustomed to rooting for the Hawks in the midst of opposing fans, but it was a blast. Even though it was a gut-wrenching loss for our beloved Hawks, we felt very comfortable congratulating our new Spartan friends, and we had nothing but positive interactions with MSU fans everywhere we went on Saturday.

I agree, ever single Spartan fan we interacted with this weekend was great. They were fun to drink with and even after the game they were not out bragging or rubbing it in hawk fans. They were very respectful and it was an amazing atmosphere. The pre-game all the way through was fun.
That is what Championship football is about. I know there were some talking heads putting a negative spin on a 16-13 game, but dang that was 60 minutes of fun. Lot of big hits and great plays.

Yes, as much as I wanted to hate the MSU fans there I couldn't. They were a good group and I will be pulling for them to win it all since we couldn't get it done. We had our chances just couldn't make the plays when we had to.
Classy posts, and good luck to Sparty... I believe you have the run D to shut down the Bama one trick pony and win. Then, I'm hoping you face Clemson for all the marbles. I'd normally be rooting for Oklahoma, since Stoops was a great Hawkeye player and coach, but I think their air raid attack would be tougher for MSU to handle, so Go Tigers!
