Van Ness is a big dude. Wow.
20 million dollar man.... we can rebuild him.... he will be faster, stronger and able to throw hay bales out of stadiums....He's gonna work out for pro teams next month (April 15?).
Check this out & watch:
“Highly competitive defensive back with plus ball skills and noteworthy special teams value. DeJean is big and bundled for a cornerback, with muscular arms and tight hips. He has fantastic interception production, but his movements are more linear than fluid, and he doesn’t have the easy change of direction needed in man coverage on the next level. His best football is played with his eyes forward, using his instincts to challenge quarterbacks and his big downhill burst to smack whatever needs smacking.”
i fully get why he went pro but seeing these posts gives me the sads coz of what we’ll miss this fall.
Fans were demanding it.After today, it looks like he solidified himself as a top 15 to top 20 pick
I still find it sadly ironic that he got injured practicing with the offense. The offense was not just gonna suddenly catch fire with him back there on a few plays. The injury ALMOST cost him big time.
Fans were demanding it.
Old man Kirk was right! eerie that it was non-contact too.and I vividly remember KF, when asked by reporters about putting Cooper in on offense, saying that you can only ask so much of one player. KF said that Cooper was already playing a lot of snaps on defense and on special teams and KF was worried about overworking him and possibly getting him injured
IIRC, Cooper went up to catch a ball and came down awkwardly....not sure if someone was defending the play or notOld man Kirk was right! eerie that it was non-contact too.
Mentoring them on innovative offensive strategySo Kirk is sipping tea with NFL GMs and Coaches today.
running the 40 on a football field v. a track set up? Is there a difference? Did he have track shoes on? Kinda looked like cleats to me. not sure..
The universe before he was injured and the universe after he has more time to recover and train more?In what universe is DeJean running a 4.30?? Fantasy football.
Just pushing back, did he post a fast enough 40 to be selected that high as a CB, or did they put him in the hybrid mold, and is that a lower pick? Those are questions, not statements, by the way.
Not eye popping but given his size it seems very good. Guessing still a mid to late 1st rounder. His film and leadership, work ethic intangibles certainly carry a lot of weight.Just pushing back, did he post a fast enough 40 to be selected that high as a CB, or did they put him in the hybrid mold, and is that a lower pick? his time would have placed him 10th of all CBs this Year at the combine , plenty fast enough with his size ,arm length ball skills and instincts which are Elite.Just pushing back, did he post a fast enough 40 to be selected that high as a CB, or did they put him in the hybrid mold, and is that a lower pick? well that’s my point. Plenty fast with qualifications just has me wondering if he’s really a top 15 guy. I wish him nothing but good fortune and the highest pick possible.his time would have placed him 10th of all CBs this Year at the combine , plenty fast enough with his size ,arm length ball skills and instincts which are Elite.
