I guess the cop getting shot IN THE BACK was the first clue it wasn't the dead guy that was the shooter??,
They were chasing him through the woods, he turned, pointed the gun at his own head, then targeted the police ( noting both hands on firearm) fired, and was then killed. Sounds like the guy that had been there 10 months was trailing. Good thing is they had it all on film.
Pray for speedy recovery.
They have him on the cop's body camera with a gun.

"He initially points it towards his own head," Parizek said. "... He transitions from that to a two-fisted pointing right at the officers. Both officers did fire their weapons. And one of the officers was hit and the suspect was also hit."
Good to know, but what is still puzzling to me is how the officer that was shot managed to get in the line of fire of other cop and whose bullet actually killed the suspect?

Sounds like a very chaotic moment, as I expect most of these types of situations are. Unfortunately mistakes happen when humans are involved. How many high stress situations like this have you been involved in?
