Could be more stall calls this weekend

Rumor is at a mid season pow wow the officials were instructed to call more stalling on the edge, rather than signalling action every time. It could be a point of emphasis as soon as this weekend. Lets hope it happens and gets good feedback to keep them from swallowing the whistles at NCAA's

Calling more stalling is fine. Not sure if I like emphasizing the edge rules. They are far too subjective, and often see the wrong guy get called for stalling.

Love the edge rule when applied properly. Wish they would add push out. Just getting used to always having your butt facing the center is good and it helps when a wrestlers Freestyle career starts.

Yup, they will call stalling all year until NCAA's. That's where the scramblers can have success and the aggressors get beat.

Friday was some of the best officiating I have seen in years. They were consistent with the exception of the stall call on Stoll. Saturday was as bad as I have ever seen. It's time for Mike Allen or whoever is in charge to be replaced.
