Covid Boosters

How do you know the vaccine worked? Well my friend's mom's sister only got a severe cough and a high grade fever, but she didn't have a cough or sore throat. So the vaccine must have saved her from dying.

This is the rationale of the vaccine makers use. They are basing effectiveness on how many symptoms a person has, even though every person has a different set of symptoms. It's a joke. Read the research and you will see.

Same goes for the influenza vaccine for what it's worth.
They had to have a fallback position after their efficacy claims proved false, and they had to admit they never actually tested for spread.

In fairness, there is a tiny window where the so-called vaccines and boosters worked for unhealthy people.

We tend to forget the death rate before vaccines was tiny for healthy people under 50.

every year that I've taken the flu shot I got a violent flu bug.

every year I didn't take it I was fine?

what can I assume about that?

Wearing masks in the community makes little or no difference to the outcome of laboratory‐confirmed influenza/SARS‐CoV‐2 compared to not wearing masks (Cochranelibrary.com).
Yes; we know that was one segment of Cochrane's summary - mainly due to lack of compliance.

But we have NEW DATA, that you continue to ignore, which overturns those weak 'conclusions'. Cochrane even told you they were "low confidence" results.

I still wonder why people who are protected from Covid by vaccination and boosters are so insistent on others getting it.

Because there are lots and lots of people who cannot be vaccinated, who are better protected when others are boosted.

  • older people (like your grandparents, who you apparently don't give a shit about)
  • Organ recipients on immunosuppressants
  • Folks with auto-immune disorders, also on immunosuppressants
  • Children w/ blood cancers who have no immunity

But none of those folks, apparently, matter to you, either.

They matter to someone, though.

You tend to forget quite a lot

If I have Covid I can spread it.
If I don't have Covid I can't spread it.

These vaccines do not fully protect you from getting Covid. If 9 vaxxed people were locked in a small room with 1 person with Covid one of those 9 are leaving that room with Covid.
So what are we even doing here?

That’s the problem. The geniuses in the government have declared - for the first time in forever - that with covid you can be ‘sick’ with no symptoms.

Therefore, you must take the (ineffective) shot to protect others.

Even though, if they actually believed this, they would wear their masks EVERYWHERE. But they don’t.

Because they’re lying hypocrites.

LOLWUT?

That is well-established with Covid.
It's the same with hepatitis.
And the zoster virus that causes Shingles.

You're simply an idiot when it comes to any topic relating to vaccines or medicine, Cletus.

Let’s see, we now have vaccines that don’t prevent getting or transmitting the disease. You are also required to get regular boosters to this ineffective vaccination.

I will say who ever developed the business plan for big pharma was brilliant.
Why have a vaccine you only need to take once$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

“In all the history of respiratory-borne viruses of any type, asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks,” Anthony Fauci, director of NIAID at NIH, said. “The driver of outbreaks is always a symptomatic person.”

They also destroy your immune system. Nothing makes more money for the US ‘health’ care system than people who are perpetually sick. 🤑

That was before Covid, spud.

And it's why Covid was so successful in spreading in 2020.

The World Health Organization moved Tuesday to clarify its position on whether people without symptoms are widely spreading the new coronavirus, saying much remains unknown about asymptomatic transmission.

A comment by a WHO official on Monday — calling such asymptomatic transmissions “very rare” — touched off a furious scientific debate over the unresolved question and attracted widespread criticism of the organization.

Less than 24 hours later, the WHO convened a special news conference to walk back its comments, stressing that much remains unknown.

Of course. Must nip any misinterpretations of our junk science in the bud.🤣🤣🤣

Why are you pushing "news" that is from fully 4 years ago?

This was in the early days of Covid, when we didn't know very much at all about the virus, its long term effects, and its transmission routes.

That’s not the democratic mindset…don’t you know they are all oppressed and victims, and somebody else needs to pay for that?
Perhaps instead of defending your anti-vax buddies here, you should review the lies and falsehoods they are posting, Cletus.

Including 4-year old commentary on how Covid spread, during the earliest days when hardly anyone understood it. Why you would want to "come to the rescue" on shit like that is rather baffling....

There is evidence what you are posting are lies and falsehoods also. So go ahead and continue to do everything the govt tells you to do…good luck with that.

Funny how the ‘science’ changes.

From December 2020, a meta analysis in JAMA stated in spite of households being a prime source of transmission, asymptomatic spread was extremely rare.

3 weeks later, the same JAMA reports that their modeling showed a full 59% of covid cases were spread via asymptomatic transmission, a lie repeated by ‘Dr’ Fauci.

You just can’t make this crap up (but unfortunately, our medical and scientific experts can. And do).

No; there is not. I've cited everything I post with peer-reviewed sources and key physicians/scientists.

Comparing that to rando Youtube videos and Tweets is not remotely the same.
And your buddy just posted 4+ year old "information" on Covid spread, back when no one knew much about the virus.

You're defending bullshit here.

The covid response summed up: Lies. And the lying liars that spread them.

There's no doubt after reading [the NEJM] paper that asymptomatic transmission is occurring," Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told journalists. "This study lays the question to rest."

But now, it turns out that information was wrong.

The letter in NEJM described a cluster of infections that began after a businesswoman from Shanghai visited a company near Munich on 20 and 21 January, where she had a meeting with the first of four people who later fell ill. Crucially, she wasn't sick at the time: "During her stay, she had been well with no sign or symptoms of infection but had become ill on her flight back to China," the authors wrote. "The fact that asymptomatic persons are potential sources of 2019-nCoV infection may warrant a reassessment of transmission dynamics of the current outbreak."

“They told us that the patient from China did not appear to have any symptoms." Afterward, however, officials at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Germany's federal public health agency, and the Health and Food Safety Authority of the state of Bavaria did talk to the Shanghai patient on the phone, and it turned out she did have symptoms while in Germany. According to people familiar with the call, she felt tired, suffered from muscle pain, and took paracetamol, a fever-lowering medication.

The Public Health Agency of Sweden reacted less charitably. "The sources that claimed that the coronavirus would infect during the incubation period lack scientific support for this analysis in their articles," says a document with frequently asked questions the agency posted on its website yesterday. "This applies, among other things, to an article in [NEJM] that has subsequently proven to contain major flaws and errors." Even if the patient's symptoms were unspecific, it wasn't an asymptomatic infection, says Isaac Bogoch, an infectious disease specialist at the University of Toronto. "Asymptomatic means no symptoms, zero. It means you feel fine. We have to be careful with our words." (science.org)

Weird how you want to keep dredging up old, outdated assessments when we've learned quite a lot more about this virus in the meantime....

There are sources and studies and scientists that take the opposite position of your opinion. We all get to formulate our own beliefs. Lord Fauci has taken both sides of several different aspects of COVID, so how do you decide which science-backed opinion of his to follow? I recommend you stay 6’ away from your keyboard for a bit…

Lord Fauci has taken both sides of several different aspects of COVID

And this is where I'm 100% certain you get your "sources" from complete BS sites.

Fauci has conveyed his most current knowledge for you at the time he's being questioned. That doesn't mean that facts and knowledge don't advance and change. That's the way you and your buddies on the right-wing media work. Basically ingrained into their brains like Bible stories which are "inerrant"...

There is video of him flip flopping all of the place with Covid, so take the source of Fauci himself for what it’s worth. Amd the science sure did change rather quickly with Covid…but carry on believing what you want to.
