What do you do when the vaccine that is supposed to save lives actually causes more death than was previously happening? It would make sense to pause the vaccines until further research can be done.

From reading the article, it sounds like the vaccine could be causing harm which is why they want to put it on hold.
The number of people dying post covid compared to pre covid has increased and they want to figure out why. Kids that should not be having heart attacks are now having heart attacks.
I still don’t get how this vaccine was thought to be safe to begin with. Let’s take this vaccine we just created for this new virus and force people to take it. We have no idea what it will do to you in the long run but we think it could help you at the moment.

I can’t imagine why more people are dying and younger people having heart attacks …it’s almost like there is a virus that killed people and caused higher incidences of heart issues in young people….that did not exist pre covid!!! That or the vaccines.

I can’t imagine being butt hurt that someone wants to put it on hold until they figure out more information about it. The height of covid is over with. Why not figure out if the vaccine is now causing harm, why does that hurt your feelings? Plus if children that have been vaccinated are having heart attacks. Shouldn’t you be upset that the vaccine isn’t working by preventing these from happening by now?
I trust my Doctor to have my best interest in mind when he recommends something. Here is my reality, I vaccinate as my Doctor recommends. Since Covid broke I have yet to have a single symptom. I have had zero issues with side effects. Maybe I’m lucky, Maybe I have good natural immunity, Maybe the vaccine worked well for me. I don’t know for sure which scenario is the correct one and neither do you.
0.14% of covid deaths were under the age of 18 while this population accounts for around 20% of the total population.
15.5% of children had a reported reaction to the covid vaccine (this could be fever, arm pain, or other mild reactions)
0.4% of children receiving the covid vaccine had a serious complication such as myocarditis
Don't forget, the whole idea of the covid vaccine was to reduce illness and reduce sick days. It did not actually prevent people from getting covid.
Most doctors are blindly following the recommendation of the CDC or the institution they work for. Very few spend the time researching covid or reviewing the current literature. Following your doctors recommendation is good advice if you don't have any medical knowledge and if you don't want to be well informed.
But the CDC is giving generic guidance that applies to the entire USA and most of the world. If you want individualized care from your doctor, then you need to educate yourself on the right questions to ask and the risks and benefits.
