I don’t think assistants have the jurisdiction to make decisions like that without anybody knowing…
Hopefully at some point, somebody is able to make a distinguishment between NIL and “pay-for-play,” which is what is clearly happening at Creighton

It took him his tenure at ISU to learn how to do questionable things and then when he went to Creighton, he was better equipped.
Iowa and Creighton were in the same boat about 14 months ago. Iowa was losing Luka and Joe W and turns out CJ. Creighton lost it’s starting five that made the sweet sixteen and had lost its top recruit to Kentucky. Somebody said Creighton this next season will have five top 150 players coming off the bench. Don’t know if that’s true or not.
We’ll see, if by there’s really a crackdown on pay for play; they may start at Creighton. The guy they got from Dakota was clearly going to the highest bidder- hell, he dropped Kentucky because they wouldn’t pony up enough &
Ironic that Jbo was such an activist for the NIL stuff. He has relegated players with his skill set to lower tier programs because P5 schools will just buy better players and not recruit kids like Jbo. If they do get recruited, they will likely never play due to the procession of portal players who will play ahead of them.
You aren't the first person to ask that question. He recruited some good players (although he didn't recruit his son). Lost several really good players for various reasons.
