noticed tonite on when tv showed the crowd it was always of a bunch of old people sitting on their butts. Don't we have student section? When we are on the road they always show the student sections.

Because technically we do have a student section with actual students sitting in that section.
I believe many of the students aren’t back yet from break. They don’t go to games anyway. The student section is in a bad place because of those old farts that were sitting on there asses. They give money to the athletic department and want to sit where the students should be. Not going to change with Barta at the helm.
Kudos to all who made the trip with the weather being what it is.
Gotta love the people who sit at home complaining about not enough fans going to the games.
I thought the crowd tonight was great. Hawks put on a show, so that helped.
For the small crowd that was there tonight (with early game start time, weather, apathy after loosing 2 in a row), it was a pretty feisty group in the seats in my opinion. The students aren't back till Jan 21st.
I actually was surprised at the turnout. It was better than I expected. Most people were into it the entire game.
The roads absolutely suck. I’m heading to Lambeau for the Pack game Sunday and am staying overnight in Dubuque. Omaha to Dubuque is supposed to be like five hours, and it’s going to end up taking us closer to eight. Much appreciation for anybody who made the trek from outside of Iowa City
we need the old crazy crowd from the women’s basketball games to show up for men’s games. Even if it was just that crazy old man that sits at half court, he could get the crowd going.
Womens crowds are darn good, agree. Tonight was good too at 60% capacity, crowd was solid. Next Friday will be lit.
I have been holding off on ordering because of that very thing as today came out of semi nowhere....Rolled the dice and got tickets for next Friday game. Not many left!
I was at the game and the crowd got into it at all the right times! Go complain somewhere else!
I've never understood this comment. So people from Omaha, San Diego, Chicago, etc.... can't complain about the crowds?

You can't be serious. You do know they report the attendance and show the massive empty sections on TV, right?
I am not kidding. I was there. The people who made it in horrible weather conditions should be lauded. We cheered. It made a difference. Those of you watching on tv made NO impact on the game.
Those who didn't come to the game have no room to talk about those who did. Try showing up the tell me how bad the crowd is.

For those of us who took a chance on bad weather and attended the game....we just need to stop responding to snowflake idiots who love to sit at home and constantly complain! They somehow believe thay are better fans.

The diehards showed up tonight, us loyal souls who bleed the black and gold, cursing, cheering, jeering, roaring. Crowd was into it tonight because it took some effort perhaps, wheat instead of chaff in the seats primarily.
