Crunching some numbers on performance

Hey, Nancy. You said Trump would be out by Saint Patty’s day last year. Dumb call as usual. Some of you libs are clueless. That’s you.

You deny that again just like you did last time I called you out on your dumb ****.

Interesting thread and thank you for posting. I think we all would agree our performance as of late is directly tied to Spencer Lee. One could argue that we have already began to work on blue chip recruits and Lee is first example of that working. As much as love stats, I think winning boils down to two categories.

  1. Near Falls
  2. Takedowns
We have always been solid at takedowns, but near falls is another story. A 4pt NF significantly changes a match, without the ability to score NF, we seriously limit opportunities to score bonus points.

Take this years NCAA's, we wrestled 49 matches in total.

Wrestler Total NF
Spencer Lee 6
Kaleb Young 5
Austin DeSanto 3
Jacob Warner 3
Pat Lugo 1
Max Murin 1
Alex Marinelli 0
Cash Wilcke 0
Sam Stoll 0

Here is a breakdown on the outcome of those matches:

Fall 1
TF 2
DQ 1
Major 6
Dec 21
Loss 18
