Culture war claims a young life

I’m obviously missing context, but isn’t that level of bullying bad no matter who the victim is? If one is being used to justify the other than I agree that’s ridiculous.
yeah. Weird how many people only seem outraged when it only happens under certain circumstances

We do know what happened in this situation and why it started. Care to comment on that? A older girl sprayed younger girls with a water bottle and a fight broke out.
Sure. All shouldve been suspended. If the injuries that led to the victims death were caused by the other girls ganging up and beating her, there should be some charges.

Didn’t the ME already say that she didn’t die from trauma? Probably waiting on the toxicology report.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it was either a) - freak brain bleed that wasn't caught at the hospital - but unlikely based on the victims face appearing to be pretty much intact, no bruising, black eyes, etc you'd expect to see from a fight causing head trauma or, b) - person OD'd on something and will later find out they had a history of mental health issues.

Sad case all around, but my gut tells me suicide.

Their parents are the real culprits here.
As well as public personalities/politicians sowing and fueling this otherism hatred. All to gain/sustain power. Because they don’t really give a damn, often. Same with the abortion “issue”. Same with many fake issues.

Seriously, trying to grasp what happened when a group of girls attacked a single individual and then writing “they” and “their” while you are identifying a single individual can make following a story quite confusing.

“The girls continued beating Nex until they blacked out, the teen said, later adding that their pain was “bad.” Nex died the following day after their mother called emergency responders to their home, saying the teen’s breathing was shallow, their eyes were rolling back and their hands were curled, according to audio also released by Owasso police.”

Well, if she didn’t throw water on them none of this happens. So public personalities don’t mean a darn thing when a girl provoked other younger girls.

It’s sad, but my guess is suicide via drug overdose. The ME said she didn’t die from trauma and that they were waiting on the toxicology report. Reading between the lines, they probably know what caused her death, but want all their ducks in a row before they release that information.

I will make something clear in case there is any confusion from the comments I have posted in this thread. And I am directing this at sane people and not dumbasses like Ryan (and the other users who aren’t Ryan’s alts but are like-minded because I don’t give a good goddamn what he or others like him think).

With that said, I want to be clear that just because I acknowledge this particular incident does not appear to be targeted bullying and the young person who is deceased appears to have instigated the conflict in question, does not mean I don’t believe extreme bullying did not lead to said young person’s death, because I do. And no matter how you see a transgender person—mentally ill, a freak, a sinner, or whatever label makes you less uncomfortable—we are still talking about a human person.

The fact is this person was severely mistreated and abused for a long time for the crime of being a transgender person. No one needs a PhD in psychology to understand the ramifications of that to someone’s mental health. The result was no doubt a young person traumatized and left to nothing but a primal instinct for survival—fight or flight. This basic understanding of humanness should be common sense.

Does that mean you or I need to understand transgenderism? No. Does that mean you or I need to get what the hell one person means by identifying as “them” or “they”? Nope. Not in the least. But we should understand the language of being a human being just as we should understand how reckless and irresponsible rhetoric from people in positions of power (like a politician or religious leader) can have reverberating and disastrous consequences.

And that’s the ****ing point. When you are that weak, pussified, and devoid of any sense of integrity as to promote and/or condone hatred because someone different makes you uncomfortable, then you are very much a part of the problem. And frankly, you play a responsibility in a lot of these deaths, whether you want to realize it or not.

Again, I am not directing this at idiots like Ryan who are hopeless. I’m directing this at people who believe themselves to be decent human beings. Hopefully, it makes you think about how you talk about this issue with others in the future.

@RagnarLothbrok - was there a history of bullying? With all the cloudiness of the reporting here- I am not sure if I have seen that or not.

Not disrespecting the rest of your post, just wanted to ask that one question.

There is a huge political divide on this topic and neither side is going to move an inch.

I will absolutely never play in the pronoun fan club. Too old for that shit and frankly don’t want to do vote energy to give a damn if a person is a they/them

Considering how much has been reported incorrectly, I’d question everything about this story for a while.
Okay.

Well, for one, that’s a level of cynicism that is probably unnecessary and misapplied. But okay.

Second, the general principle of what I said does not hinge on the full veracity of this particular incident.

Again, the greater question is to the level of cynicism you have for this particular issue. Honestly, it’s comparable to the point I raised to the poster who made a comment about anyone who has posted about black kids jumping a white kid should not comment in this thread.

Why? Should our compassion be reduced to identity politics? Is a white kid beat up by black kids anymore or less a victim than someone who is transgender?

And yet, here we are. Presumably, the left must dig in and push back on stories that involve a straight white male being a victim just as the right presumably needs more information and greater context to render a fair and impartial judgment on a person who checks off the LGBTQ box because they more often than not are the left’s version of the CRT bogeyman.

And the beat goes on.

Is it possible this fight occurred because this individual was in the bathroom of a different gender? It continues to amaze me that society aims to accommodate a fraction of society that has gender dysphoria and expects the other 99% of society to just accept it and act like it is no big deal we have mixed genders sharing bathrooms. It's ludicruous.
They were in a bathroom that matched their assigned gender from birth as the law required and were beaten by other girls. Nothing like a good game of smear the queer to get the day started.

The complete version of the cop interview is out there.

To be fair, Nex said she was in ISP all week (In school suspension for getting caught vaping in the bathroom) and that there were 3 freshman girls in ISP with her that wouldn’t leave her alone, calling her names and throwing stuff at her. She didn’t know who they were, but they were in ISP that week with her.

Nex and her friend went to the bathroom and the other 3 girls were there. Nex says that she and her friend were laughing and the 3 others girls made a comment of “Why do they always laugh like that?”. Nex then took her water bottle over and dumped it on the other 3 girl’s head. That’s went the other girls jumped her.

The cop asks the mom if she wants to press charges for assault, the mom says yes. The cop warns her, that since Nex dumped water on the other girls first, that the other 3 girls could press charges against Nex too.

I can only hope and assume that most people participating in these threads understand that the standards by which we treat our fellow human beings transcend identity and the like. That bullying is bad, that schools should try to tamp down on it. etc etc

That's my baseline assumption of all participants in these threads. Just assumed.

From there these threads seem to be chalk full of A) political/topical posturing and bickering B) lots of guesswork and assumptions based on trying to satisfy A.

What happened was a tragedy. For whatever reason it happened.

But these sorts of threads are generally ****ing stupid. Just dumb.

Sounds like we need more information before we can offer up much meaningful critique or pass any strong judgement.

Common sense. There are 100s of kids that splash people with water at school every day. How many of them are beaten so bad they die the next day?
I guess that my issue- it’s not really common sense as much as assumption.

We don’t know the motive of the attack.

We don’t know what the cause of death was.

Who gets suspended for two weeks for it?

Nex should have played football.

The trans was the bully here though and started the fight with younger students. Alex is a shameful excuse for a man and encourages kids to join a cult with a 51% suicide rate. He is not a good human being. The only genocide against the trans community is the one they wage against themselves.

Scrubby waving his proud bigot flag is the least shocking thing on this board.

Such a pitiful excuse of a human being.

What is a woman?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Back to your bigoted only trick, I see.

I've laid this out for you before, you cowardly little bigot. The difference between gender and sex has been well documented by numerous experts, people you want to belittle because of your obvious inferiority complex.

I'm not wasting my time trying to explain it to you again. I'd have more luck teaching my dog the same material.

I'm sorry ideas beyond basic shapes and colors elude you.

Keep trying, little guy!

😘
