Have never particularly cared for Dakich's game analysis but I hope he survives this...
Don't know what he said but he's better than 95% of the announcers now because he knows his stuff and calls things like he sees them.

Dakich is great. FO ESPN and hope he gets a raise with another sports gig. He is insightful, right and sometimes funny. Damn sheep

I'm a little surprised with so many defending Dakish after his BS comments on Woodbury some years back. Dakish is a blowhard who I find annoying. I think some people in this thread are letting their politics get in the way of common sense.
Free speech is awesome about this country. The bad thing about free speech and social media is no one forgets what you said/ typed.
He was right about Woodbury.
I always thought he was better than most. He knows basketball. He will say stuff others will not say. He isn’t always correct but he is seldom wrong. He has a good “ old school” streak running through him.
Dakish knows more about bball then most can dream. He was a student of the most knowledgeable coach ever.
I don't much care for the guy as a color guy, but losing your job over this crap is insane. And, since it's ESPN and today's BS SJW climate, he probably will.

It sort of feels like people go looking for a fight these days and look to get someone fired when they hear something offensive. Am I alone in this thinking?

he also seems to have learned his social manners from Knight. The guy is a rude, arrogant prick and bully and makes inflammatory accusations and comments that really have no business in a sports broadcast. I really don't care of he retains his job or not, but if you take his entire body of work, its surprising he has kept his gig for this long.

He might not have been intentionally poking people in the eyes, but when you keep putting your fingers right in front of peoples eyeballs, pokings are going to happen
he actually has been quite vocal last couple of years that he isn’t a fan of Bobby knight as well.
Dakich can be a dick, but after having our last 2 games called by Vitale, I'd welcome a game called by Dakich with open arms.
I really hope Vitale hangs it up after this year after the last 2 clown show broadcasts. One was one giant infomercial and the other he was singing the Michigan fight song.
