I'm a bit confused now cause I see Early wearing the same singlet but these aren't the old ones they have their redshirts wear
Early just got stuck by shields was 0-0 when they started scrambling and he got cradled. Not exactly impressed with striker in his last match
They both have a long ways to go. Early doesn't seem to have many leg attacks and would prefer to roll around on the mat. It's hard to consistently win against good competition like that. Stroker never scored many takedowns against elite competition in high school, so I'm expecting him to struggle to light up the scoreboard in college.
I see steveson's at 197 thought he was slated to go 184 this season that's a whole for the gophers and I don't expect him to beat out the older Pfarr
That was a nice match. Nasar was right there with McKee through the first and just got caught. Both guys are going to be fun to watch.
Gross has seriously upped his game the last couple of months
Since Pharr wrestled in the All Star thingy, I'm guessing they gave Steveson a choice and maybe he's not completely down to weight. I know Pharr is wrestling at 197 so as to avoid PD3.
Yea but PD3 had both arms tied behind his back 2 weeks after acl surgery up a weight with fairy dust in his eyes and the refs were out to get him. He's transcended all of the conspiracies now. He's all galaxyHe gave PD3 a good whooping last march maybe it's the other way around
I will be extremely surprised if Early beats out Short for the 157 spot. I can't imagine Early can be a factor at 165, so, in reality, this will be a wasted year for him. In regards to the other Gopher results and possibilities... I say Eggum needs to pull the necessary redshirts and put his best possible dual team on the mat. After all, he's auditioning for a full time gig.
But a word of caution for Gopher fans... Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.
Being down at 133 and having AJ Schopp in the room are paying dividends. He looked like Schopp on top.
So sometimes being a legend in the practice room translates to live competition.

McKee is fun to watch. His redshirt will be pulled at some point IMO. Clean up a couple things and he can go with Gross. Gross is looking nasty too so that is saying something.
Guys and team will have plenty of growing pains this season. Hopefully by end of the year they are able to surprise some people.

The ISU fans, all 14 of them, beat me to it.
Regarding ISU... expect a Paulsen to finish out the season at some point. KJ is hired as the Gophs next coach and I can continue to laugh at Minnesota wrestling.

One or two objective fans that realize what's happening, and they are crucified by the sunshine pumpers. "Mndak" is the only poster on your forum with half a brain and he's criticized every time he posts.
Just read "Wombat" review, objective, regarding the Gopher performances. From the sounds of it... Stroker and Early were unimpressive. To paraphrase... Stroker can't get out from underneath, and Early has no gas tank. That's a big problem for two, supposedly top recruits.Cool Story Bro

Sounds like KJ could step right in and do what he's done at ISU.
I recall some convo here a few years ago that the Iowa staff made a decision on whom to pursue most aggressively, Kem or Stroker. Looks like they might have been correct.
You must not understand the logic of your own forum? They were the cornerstone, supposedly, to lead Minnesota back to relevance by the vast majority of fans on your forum. Very few programs can afford two, big swing and misses. While no one is yet writing them off, the early results aren't very encouraging, apparently. Dak had some good competition, but hardly elite.
My opinion, which carries no ideas but my own, is that Stroker never flashed offense in high school. At least not enough to guarantee college success. I have less info from watching Early, but he looks/looked weak to me, and someone that will struggle on bottom in his career. The gas tank comment from your forum expert is puzzling and worrisome from a Gopher standpoint.
You can continue with the name calling, if you wish. If you wish to trade opposing opinions, I can do that. Just remember which forum you are on because "trolls" have a shorter leash.
You must not understand that I don't care what you think. Just as you don't care what I think. We aren't seeking the other's approval. Talking wrestling is one thing. Trying to bait and mock is another. So if I don't respond to a certain thing when requested it is because I don't feel it deserves acknowledgement. Now if we can move along here that would be great, for everyone.
I apologize to those that have had to read this. Please don't ban me per previous threat.
