After further research, maybe he does. He's come a long way in the last couple of years. Sorry, Nelson.

Yeah, Nelson has been getting too many quick pins. Hurts his take down numbers.
That is what was fun about his crazy statistic last year, in order to get that many takedowns, one has to not be pinning. Dominance in high school usually interferes. Fun stat though. Stoll likely had small takedown numbers in high school, but was more dominant.
How about it. Last year was takedown work. This year pin work. Maybe the second half the year he will work on getting the guy close to being tech and then pin.

I hadn't followed him since last year, and once again Track and Nelson surprised me with his improvements. He's always had the motor now he's getting the skills to go with it.
I’m happy to see Nelson work on turning opponents this season. I hope he keeps rolling and improving in each position.
