I have heard non stop handwringing today on MSDNC. Constant assertions that KH lost due to racism and sexism and that a certain segment of our population that would never vote for a woman or a woman of color and that si what cost her the election.

No what cost her the election is that she was freaking and AWFUL candidate. Thats what cost her the election. Stop making excuses. Excuses will simply cause your party to continue to make the same mistakes.

The pendulum always swings, but Dems can't simply run the same playbook. They're losing key demographics they previously replied on.

We'll be much better off if the next time Dems choose a good, moderate candidate that can answer questions about policy and not simply implore/expect people to vote for them because of their gender, skin color, the fact that they're not the other guy, or a promise to allow you to kill your unborn child (which appeals to very few people, especially now that most states have put their own laws in place, and no state completely bans abortion).

If Dems became the Dems of the 90s they'd appeal to more moderates. They get one more midterm to rely on the anti trump vote, but in 2028 they'll in all likelihood be facing a very capable JD Vance, and they'll need a good candidate. For the first time in decades we could not simply have "giant douche vs. turd sandwich."

Nominating another ultra-lib isn't going to work.

I left home to the store, turned a corner and saw an old guy and a car behind what I presumed to be the old guy's car. He was stopped at a stop sign, I only the end of it all, and got out, walked back to a car with a high school student in it, a pointed his finger at the kid thru his driver side window and cussed him out. Then he meandered back to his car and slammed the door. After he sped off, I stopped and checked on the kid and asked him if he was ok and what that was all about. The kid said that the guy thought he was driving too fast.

I don't know the whole story but that's shameful no matter. It's entirely one thing to be upset about someone's driving but entirely another to stop, get out of your car, approach the other car, and then proceed to cuss out the driver all the while clearly knowing that the kid couldn't have been 15-16 and STILL follow through with your road rage cuss out.

I clearly have no idea, but I assumed the guy had a really bad day recently. I can't imagine anything the kid did to warrant that. Like at all.

Kid seemed nonplussed though so that was good I guess.

Uh no. Not entirely. Fact check = needs clarification. The 2020 EC result was 306:232. Not as bad as 312:226. So one. in the Trump column

The Senate ended up 50:50. The Dems gained 4 seats but the R's may gain that many this year and the end result will probably be 54:46. 2 in the Trump column.

The PV will end up being very close to 2020 margin wise but yes Biden will end up with a wider margin at the end of the week. Biden's margin in 2020 was 7,052,120. Trump margin as of now 4,748,468. Arizona, Nevada and Alaska have not yet been added. But Trumps margin this year is 3.4% and Bidens in 2020 was 4.5%. One in the Biden column.

So by my count, using these measures, Trump wins the "margins check" 2:1
