Wonder what they saw and didn't like in O'Connor. Word in Chicagoland is he wanted Iowa, but Iowa was never interested. Some speculate Nelson is the reason, I am not buying. Maybe we were not going to give him a full scholarship...

One thing that always struck me in this meet is the benefit PA guys have since their season just finished. For example, Warner had his state tournament, what 3 weeks ago? It's easy to see how he could have lost peak shape in that time compared to a guy who just had his state tournament.

Yeah said he wanted to be a hawk but Iowa didn't really recruit him. Said Ramos was a big part of him choosing North Carolina. I think he'll be a good one so I wish they would of gone after him, he's very aggressive and hand fights really well

Really? The difference is a week. 3 weeks vs 2 weeks ago.

Just watched Desanto/ Mejia. Mejia threw an uppercut at him as Desanto was getting the last take down on him. That was a beatdown.

Maybe Warner had to much fun at nationals he sure was gassed but really never in any trouble..Should be a good 197 for the Hawks.

Warner was off the mat since state with Mrsa. Two practices then the DapperDan. Definitely not in top level competition shape. But I don't think that match was in doubt. Definitely saw things he can improve on.
