day 2 finals PBP

At the risk of making my dumbest post ever on here, I'll take the field.
you are probably correct - but dam. He wrestles between gold (varner (losing now) / burroughs). and i'm thinking that dake will get back to his wt and really compete for 2020 (burroughs will be done - - - maybe)

Any wrestler at any weight should emulate Kyle Snyder.
He makes the lower weight classes look like heavy weights. The kid is a formula for winning.
Won't see the whole match played out with no shots from this guy. What a stud.

I agree about Cox. You can just tell how limited his freestyle experience. How many guys at this level do you see trying to run half nelsons? His learning curve will be sharp but upward!

I was impressed by Dieringer!! If not for last second brain fart against Howe he would've been in finals. I really look forward to watching these 2 guys the next few years

At the risk of stating the obvious, I'd like to see one guy step up from PSU/NLWC over the next 4 years to challenge Cox/Dake. Nickal might have more upside than Taylor, and Morgan will be interesting moving down to a better weight.

actually i really don't know / care about Dake. but dude has been one of the best NCAA wrestlers ever imo. You think he has no shot at a gold = ok. do you think he ever qualifies?
when bm was handing burroughs his ass in college i would never have thought he would amount to shit either.

and then we have Dan Dennis .... what the heck - never won shit ..... and a chance for .....

Their "natural weight" will be a huge obstacle for Dake and Taylor on the world stage. Especially when thinking of being medalist at the Olympics

If he can get bigger and develope a better leg attack I think he has a chance to qualify. Dake thrives when guys are in his legs(crotch lift). If they can finish quick or not hit a knee it really neutralizes him.

Cox should be light years ahead if where he is now by 2020. Throw in some guys like Dean, Taylor, Nickal etc and it'll be yes.

He went 0-1 in his two international tourneys this year. Chance to qualify yes win gold no.
