You do know that Miller was an individual and not a militia, right? And had he been alive and represented, it would have been argued that sawed off shotguns were used in the trenches in WW1 and he'd won the case.

Actually no, they affirmed the right for individuals to own military type weapons. There was never a collective involved.

Yes because I alone can repeal the 2nd amendment.

And I don't necessarily want to repeal the 2nd amendment. I do want common sense restrictions on guns as we have on any other right.

Sounds like GOPers have nixed raising the minimum purchasing age, not sure where the background check stuff stands.

Sadly I think either nothing happens or we get a bill so watered down so that it can pass that it’s effectively meaningless.
