What a physical beatdown. The bullies brought it hard to Patty's homecoming.

The first drive of the 2nd half was back-breaking. Our o-line manhandled them and the backs were quick to cut and go. It was a thing of beauty. Lets not forget to credit the defense for getting the ball back so often....

Yep..! Patti Fitz's purple kitties quit today. did anone notice they showed him about 50 times on the sideline in the first half, and not at all in 2nd.

Out front seven are pretty tough. Not fast, but they take good angles and seem to be in the right place at the right time. Pleasant surprise, to be sure.

Yeah Iowa dominated pretty much the whole game. 16-10 at half but NW was luck to be that close. The NW TD drive they converted 3rd and 15 and 3rd and 14 and they had a phantom face mask call. Then Beathard turns around and throws a pick for 3 more points. Missing the FG at half previous years would have cost Iowa. Instead, Iowa just shakes it off and kicks butt in the second half. Wildcats rolled over and played dead in the second half, which was surprising. Illinois at least stood in and fought for 4 quarters.

Beathard didn't have big numbers, but man he does enough that makes such a difference. Enough good throws to give Iowa balance and the rest of the team believes in him. Kudos to Greg Davis (can't believe I said that) for regrouping at half and just pounding it at the Wildcats all half.

I was watching at Bdubs, and told people that last touchdown, NW just gave up. That was too easy.

Kudos to Greg Davis is a tough pill to swallow, but 40 points is 40 points.
