DeSantis, Haley pledge to pardon Trump if he’s convicted

Northern doesnt think his son should do hard time for crimes that he was convicted of.

Cue northern with his “where did i say that” post

If I can prevent my children from going to prison, you're damn right I will.

Carve it in stone.

This is really sad and super disappointing. I expect a much from DeSantis but not Haley. I'm assuming both of these are pleas to his voters?

In a news release announcing the charges Thursday, the Justice Department said Hunter Biden could face a maximum of 17 years in prison if convicted of the charges.
Which never happens for first time, white collar offenders. He'd get 2-3, max, based on typical sentencing guidelines.

Many of your buddies from 1/6 had 30-50 yr "max" sentences; most got <5.

Maybe Puerto Rico? Too big???
How about Semisopochnoi.

Where is the easternmost point in the United States?

Yet Guam is not the easternmost point of the United States either. That honor resides with an uninhabited Aleutian Island called Semisopochnoi.

Translated from Russian, Semisopochnoi means “having seven hills.” It sits about 10 miles from the 180th meridian, making it the U.S.’s most eastern piece of real estate in the eastern hemisphere (coordinates: 51.960°N, 179.772°E). “In other words,” Ken Jennings wrote for CN Traveler in 2012, “Semisopochnoi and the dozen or so Aleutian islands lying beyond it are so far west that they’re actually east!” Of those, Semisopochnoi is the closest to the 180th degree longitude.

Today, this volcanic island in Alaska is home to millions of seabirds, mainly a penguin-like creature called the auklet. It’s also heavily monitored by volcanologists, “likely due to its location under prominent trans-Pacific flight route,” WIRED reported in 2014.

And the pedantic geography fun facts don’t stop there! Because the Aleutian Islands cross the 180th meridian, they happen to contain the easternmost and westernmost spots in the U.S. The latter honor belongs to the small island of Amatignak (coordinates: 51.270°N, 179.119°W), which is part of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge.

All told, the distance between the easternmost and westernmost points in the United States is just 71 miles.

If I was Joe I'd pardon him as well. Not because he was done wrong but because he was my son.

Understandable thing to do....that said he deserves some jail time.
Jail time? Really? I think the sentence agreed to a few months ago was about right....take away the last name, and this is not worth a jail house picture. Maybe the Dems should check out the $$ those Trump kids cashed out during Trump’s term in office. It’s a bunch of bullshit....or do you think all President’s kids need to be treated this way?

Do you agree with Haley on pardoning Trump if he is convicted and she is elected? If so, why? If not, do you see it as a minor issue or a major issue in your support of her?

This is why both Nikki and Ron are no better than Trump.

Facilitators as bad or worse. They make personal, independent moral decisions to commit loyalty or actual compliance in crimes or civil cases, or inappropriate support as this preemptive pardon offer.
