I actually think he is a serious threat to win the GOP nomination, especially if Trump doesn't run. DeSantis is certainly the front runner for being "Trump's guy". If Trump endorses him I just don't see anyone else being able to beat him in primaries. There aren't enough sane Republicans left to matter.

DeSantis is Trump with the ability to form complete sentences and the ability to stay on point. He’s going to be a big deal in 2024.
I believe Ron to be an evil man. I think this isn't to make the students feel safer, but for his administration to gather personal belief information from students. Why does he want that? Why does he need it? There's a reason and it isn't because he cares about the college students. Remember, he doesn't really want most of them to be able to vote, because most aren't in his base.

My starting point is that nobody knows who he is on a national level which means he has no public image yet. And right now other people are starting to define that image which places that narrative beyond his control. That is a bad place to be, imo.
It isnt the requiring them to take surveys it is the next step of funding for 50/50 environment where a dem doesn't feel they can't speak because all of the professors are Rep and vice versa.
