It's fascinating watching you justify state-sponsored censorship that is fully illegal under the First Amendment. It's fascinating watching how this is characterized.

Using the power of the state against your foes? BAU for DeSantis.
No. Not true. It started during Covid with the governor using the power of the state against anyone, including elected officials, who dared to defy him. Keep defending DeSantis in the same way you do Trump. Says volumes about you.If we switch the issue from abortion to COVID suddenly people are rabid for 'the power of the state' to be unleashed on their perceived 'foes'.
I like to see the 1st amendment win in both cases.

This thread is about DeSantis' overreach which has been constant and consistent throughout his terms. This board is FULL of people wanting to see the government crackdown on people they didn't think were doing The Right Thing™ during COVID. Especially regarding the egregious efforts by those in power to censor any communications contrary to preferred narratives.
It's not remotely debatable.
To be clear, I oppose using FDOH to police speech the same way I oppose the various and sundry federal efforts to stifle speech disfavored by those in power.

No government agency should be campaigning for or against any ballot initiative. It is their job to implement what the voters decide not to influence them one way or the other. DeSantis is the lead elected officer in Florida and therefore is the person responsible. Are you trying to say he couldn't stop the advertisements if he chose? Are people supposed to be opposed to government messaging that says don’t drive drunk or high?
What exactly is the problem with that advert, aside from your hard-on for the governor who isn’t even in the ad?
Should we not warn parents to keep THC gummies out of the reach of kids?

Stop being obtuse. This is from the post I was responding to. It is obvious it's referencing Amendment 3. There have also been numerous against Amendment 4.30 second add.
When did they mention the ballot initiative?
