Did Beathard pull it down?

Stanzi did that out of gun once to help salt a game away. I think it was A-Rob expecting to get the ball, but Stanzi kept it with no one home on the backside.

I don't see why you wouldn't dial that up. If its there, a potential easy 1st down.

If its not, go down and its not much worse than running 3 incredibly predictable running plays, like we did the previous series.

Crazy things happen, don't give them the ball back and take that chance.

100% CJB -- score, Not that we needed it, just saying.

If the RB ran the fake out, then he was expecting it.

If you think you're getting the rock and it doesn't happen, your first thought is there was a fumble. By the time the ball was snapped, the players knew that a naked was the call.

Had the call been made on the previous series, game over. Instead, Iowa once again has to sweat it out. Otherwise, there would have been no late Indiana TD pass and no onside kick to worry about. The coaches, as is the KF tradition, kept this one way too close. Just dumb as hell. Same old KF. Thank God we have CJB to bale 'em out.

I expected to see the same boot/rollout that Kreiger-Coble scored on. Run/pass option with a good decision-maker at QB.

Umm.....No.

Once again we failed to play a perfect game. I give up on this team. :):p:D:eek::oops::mad:;):( These emoticons pretty much sum up watching an Iowa game. I wish we were perfect like every high lite I see on SECSPN. We suck. Thank God for Chess club.

How is life down in the bunker? Plenty of space I would guess. You're probably in the padded area though.

The previous series? Why wasn't that call made to start the game? And then on every down after that?! Ferentz is horrible, should have rolled out CJ all game long. That's the best way to heal a groin injury, after all.

I've heard toddlers make more sensible statements than the one you just made.

That was a hell of a call by Greg Davis if that was designed. CJ doesn't look that hurt to me TBH.

On the last first down that sealed it? After hearing KF's interview, he said he surprised us all on that one.
after the game Dolph asked KF who called the play and he said it might have been the run game coordinator, was called in the huddle, no surprise to the team, just Indy.

Penn State game in 2009.

Looks like we have confirmation. He made the call himself.

"We didn’t know he was going to boot out like that," center Austin Blythe said. "The next thing you know, we see him running and I'm like, 'You're supposed to be hurt.' But he's a tough guy, a competitor. He wants to win as much as anybody. The way he plays in pressure situations isn’t really a surprise to us anymore."
