Players Quitting is on Kirk…

North Carolina, a basketball school who understands the economic urgency surrounding CFB, removed Mac Brown, the program’s winningest all time coach, today with time remaining on his contract. In fact, Brown said that he fully expected to return after what looks like a 7-5 finish and another bowl game appearance. That’s the difference. North Carolina isn’t content with 7-5/8-4 seasons and irrelevance on a rapidly-changing national scene. Iowa is irrelevant under KF. You can choose to ignore that all you want, but it is FACT borne out over his tenure: zero national championships, zero playoff appearances, zero conference championships, zero Heismans. He is very happy that Kinnick and this forum are filled with Kent Dorfmans. Unfortunately as Dean Wormer aptly pointed out, that’s no way to go through life.
Lolol. And what conference does UNC play in? Oh, thats right, one thats not relevant. They know the only way their getting in any playoff is to win their 2nd rate conference at basically 11-1 or better. Oh, and they're the school that was okay with covering up the basketball cheating scandal by admitting they let ALL the students at their school cheat, so Roy's boys weren't punished in the biggest academic fraud case in NCAA history. Go Tar Heels....

Is the defense “down” in ‘24, or perhaps you failed to enjoy the generational defense Iowa put on the field in ‘22 and ‘23? You probably will never see an UIowa defense as effective as that one ever again!
Quit your damn bitchin’! Learn to enjoy the good times!
Life is never perfect or seldom is it fair.
It is down versus the past few years, we returned almost everyone (a couple big personnel losses mind you). But yes, we have been fortunate the past few years. You missed the point of my post which was the reason we lost some of our games has a lot to do with our OFFENSE. Specifically, we could not close out that game versus ISU when we had chances. I have enjoyed our generationally good defense, but have also been frustrated with our generationally bad offense the past few years. We are much improved, but very one dimensional.

I don’t think you missed a Brian Ferentz press conference. They treated him with kid gloves and shielded him from any responsibility for what an abominable job he was doing, including having to meet with the media.
So my post was accurate. Got it. Which part motivated the 'Because you said so'?
CD chose a different path. He spoke with the media. All factual. Would it have been different if he followed directions? We don't know.

Colorado was 3-21 with an average margin loss of 29. Saturday aside, Prime has completely flipped the table. CO doesn’t produce enough home-grown talent to compete for championships, so he recruits SEC kids and the portal. No different than Iowa, we just have to find a visionary and not be stuck in the mud. Hayden Fry was such a character. Evy saw through the BS in an era where it was far more difficult to recruit out of state kids. It can be done, if fans, boosters, coaches don’t settle for mediocrity.
Evy? Going back to a completely different, irrelevant-to-today, era.

So, just so I’m following, Chris Doyle was forced out because he spoke to the media???? That’s the reason?

I keep seeing this idea that Iowa will only win 4 or 5 games next year. Not sure what y'all are seeing schedule-wise that I'm not.

Albany and UMass are pretty much guaranteed wins.
Oregon is a guaranteed loss.

The other 9 games are pretty much toss ups. Four of those 9 are at home and we'll be favored in 3 of them. The 5 road games we'll probably be favored in 3 of them (Rutgers, Nebraska, and Wisconsin).

Just going by where we'll be favored, that's 8 wins. We'll probably lose 1 or 2 of them, but then probably win 1 or 2 we aren't favored in. For example, I'm guessing ISU will be favored, but we haven't lost at their place in 13 years.

Looking like 7 or 8 wins to me.
Omg come on bro
