Sez Husker fans every other year followed by about 18 months of delusional thinking thatI’d take a 3-9 season for a coach with a heartbeat, a plan to improve, recruit, use the portal and quit making excuses for being Nebraska.

Na, he's one that won't watch them but comes here to bitchOur offense is much improved this season, haven’t you been watching ?
Is the defense “down” in ‘24, or perhaps you failed to enjoy the generational defense Iowa put on the field in ‘22 and ‘23? You probably will never see an UIowa defense as effective as that one ever again!I have admitted our defense is down, no one would argue otherwise. And of course our offense is better, we were bottom ten in all of FBS last year. And..That last drive by ISU was horrid. But it should have never come to that. We pussy footed around kicking FG’s and Cade threw for 99 yards and 2 INT’s. One of his picks flipped all the momentum and we were never the same. They were on the ropes and then energized with new life.
If we get one more first down we win the game.
Time to change teams. Maybe one of the 130 alternatives will make you happy.
Iowa ain't for everyone.
Lots of bullshit and blather in your statement. At worst, there were isolated incidents of “butt hurt” by some players… but many more decided not to get involved in the controversy. To say that Iow football under KF was “racist” is immature and irresponsible. Shame on you.Loving the Hawks does not require me to be a blind KF fan, or a fan of his direction for the program. I will leave that to you. He was a steady hand for about a decade and I’ll give him credit for that. Since then, the world, and certainly CFB, have passed him by.
The idiocy of him being allowed to promote his son. His tantrum when he was forced to fire him. The way he and his staff treated African American players (and kept BF through that and fired Doyle as the scape goat). The archaic offense and recruiting strategies. When is it enough for you to move on?
I wouldn't sell Parker short on not seeing an "as effective" defense in the future. To wit, his 2008-2009 defenses were generational, too - I would argue even better than the 2022-2023 years. So, we've seen it more than once. And in between there were some damn fine ones as well. There were two and a half games this year where the defense was lackluster. Hard to figure why the blips, but it happened. Let's finish off this season with a win against the Huskers. Is the defense “down” in ‘24, or perhaps you failed to enjoy the generational defense Iowa put on the field in ‘22 and ‘23? You probably will never see an UIowa defense as effective as that one ever again!
Quit your damn bitchin’! Learn to enjoy the good times!
Life is never perfect or seldom is it fair.
Oh god. Steady hand for just one decade? You should be tarred and feathered for such an outrageous comment. You're a spoiled POS. How he treated African Americans??? Give me an effing break. Everyone knows that was a bunch of BS during the anti-Trump/COVID/George Floyd hissy fit this nation allowed to run on for faaaar too long.Loving the Hawks does not require me to be a blind KF fan, or a fan of his direction for the program. I'd say when we have 2 straight years of 6 wins or less or 3 straight years of no more than 7 wins... it might be time to hang it up. We haven't even come remoted close to those numbers lately.
2024 - It's likely going to be at least 8 wins.
2023 - 10 wins
2022 - 8 wins
2021 - 10 wins
2020 - Was a great team others opted out of playing at the end. Was 6-2, would have been a 9-10 win team.
2019 - 10 wins
2018 - 9 wins
2017 - 8 wins
2016 - 8 wins
2015 - 12 wins
These sites are all about fans with all different opinions sharing them. We don’t all have to agree that KF is Nick Saban, Knute Rockne, Bear Bryant or Bud Wilkinson. Maybe you should start your own site for KF lovers only. Either that, or debate and be willing to understand that not everyone shares your opinion. Why this type of shit is tolerated on this board really emphasizes what a shithole this place has truly become.
Opinions are fine, maybe the topic at hand is the addition of political bullshit, so I would suggest going back and giving that comment a re-read.These sites are all about fans with all different opinions sharing them. and twats are going to bring up political diatribe on a football message board.Hissy fitters gonna hissy fit.
Perhaps you should check the results of the games. If you want to cast your stones they should match up with the results. Many would consider the statement, "The way he and his staff treated African American players." to be a political statement. I don't see anything political coming from myself though. Just facts, that is all.and twats are going to bring up political diatribe on a football message board.

But these were not necessarily “ the facts”… they were the accusation. Was anything “proven” after the investigation…there was a settlement reached because there were going to be no winners except for the billing attorneys. An accommodation was reached…but none of the charges were ever proven or admitted to.Many would consider the statement, "The way he and his staff treated African American players." to be a political statement. Correct, during the hissy fit. You left that part out. The hissy fit part"Everyone knows that was a bunch of BS during the anti-Trump/COVID/George Floyd."
Again…. No facts presented here. None. Accusations and condemnations but NO facts or admission in guilt. Many would consider the statement, "The way he and his staff treated African American players." to be a political statement. There is so much non truth in your post its hard to know just where to start. 1). He's been a steady hand for alot more then a decade. Regardless of Brian we won 10 games or more in three of the last 5 seasons averaging 9 wins. Few teams have done that even the other B1G west schools. 2) I don't know what "tantrum" he supposedly threw, and he was not forced to fire Brian. His contract was not renewed, by the AD. There's a difference. 3) The race thing was overplayed, and mostly made up of players who never earned starting positions and transferred out. Had the George Floyd incident not happened, and in came the lawyers looking for anybody they could find to join a frivalous lawsuit, that never happens.Loving the Hawks does not require me to be a blind KF fan, or a fan of his direction for the program. You’re not allowed to run with scissors in your hand, are you?Well we are staring one in the face next season!
You are wrong and making shit up.Loving the Hawks does not require me to be a blind KF fan, or a fan of his direction for the program. I will leave that to you. He was a steady hand for about a decade and I’ll give him credit for that. Since then, the world, and certainly CFB, have passed him by.

And according to cmhawks99, we, who don't worship at the altar of Ferentz, deserves every bad season we experience from now on. Those of us who lived through the 20+ losing seasons before Hayden got here will learn to cope again. And those that didn't, will have to cope with the long, bitter winter of our discontent waiting for our next savior to arrive. Oh, the humanity! Please Kirk, never leave us!Yes, you our net worth .... all $5 of it
Just prepare yourself tavern Herk it is going to be awful. Talking 2-10 bad, unless some luck in a couple of home games vs bad Big 10 teams. As crappy as last 5 years have been, you haven't seen anything as bad as what you are going to see. It will make the final Fry years look like 1972 Dolphins.
We are and have been fortunate to have Kirk as our head coach since 1999 and I hope he choses to finish out his contract. Go Hawks !And according to cmhawks99, we, who don't worship at the altar of Ferentz, deserves every bad season we experience from now on. Right, this stupid narrative of Harris or anyone else quitting on Kirk is nonsense and a despicable effort for some on here to attack Kirk.Players? As in plural?
I'm not about to read 5 pages of replies, but what players have quit?
Other than Harris, who apparently has an injury, who else has QUIT??????
It's time for Kirk to hang it up - He's now the oldest head coach in college football.Oh god. Steady hand for just one decade? You should be tarred and feathered for such an outrageous comment. So then why did he throw Chris Doyle under the bus and save Brian?!? If there wasn’t anything there.Lots of bullshit and blather in your statement. North Carolina, a basketball school who understands the economic urgency surrounding CFB, removed Mac Brown, the program’s winningest all time coach, today with time remaining on his contract. In fact, Brown said that he fully expected to return after what looks like a 7-5 finish and another bowl game appearance. That’s the difference. North Carolina isn’t content with 7-5/8-4 seasons and irrelevance on a rapidly-changing national scene. Iowa is irrelevant under KF. You can choose to ignore that all you want, but it is FACT borne out over his tenure: zero national championships, zero playoff appearances, zero conference championships, zero Heismans. He is very happy that Kinnick and this forum are filled with Kent Dorfmans. Unfortunately as Dean Wormer aptly pointed out, that’s no way to go through life. It's time for Kirk to hang it up - He's now the oldest head coach in college football.
Oh, I agree he has done some good things, but he overstayed his welcome with a lot of fans. Does any non-Iowa fan think that Kirk belongs in the same breath with Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler or Stagg? We are and have been fortunate to have Kirk as our head coach since 1999 and I hope he choses to finish out his contract. Go Hawks !
I've been arguing since I walked into the debate room (half an old grade school, actually) in 1974. I was a trial lawyer for 40 years. I am usually willing to argue whatever position the circumstances require. These sites are all about fans with all different opinions sharing them. We don’t all have to agree that KF is Nick Saban, Knute Rockne, Bear Bryant or Bud Wilkinson. Maybe you should start your own site for KF lovers only. I think you just exposed the lunatic fringe.Your comparison attempts are so pathetic.
Mack Brown's best year in his 6-year tenure is 9-5. He's 6-5 this year, and he also had a losing, 6-7 season in 2021.
Kirk Ferentz best year during Mack Brown's tenure is 10-3 in 2019, But he's also gone 10-4 in 2021, and 10-4 in 2023.
Also, in 2020, Brown played 12 games while Iowa only played 8 games.
Ferentz has 51 wins and 3 bowl wins compared to Brown's 44 wins and 1 bowl win.
Ferentz has finished the season ranked in both the AP and Coaches top 25 4 times during Brown's tenure while Brown has only done that once time, his 2nd year, in 2020.
Mack Brown has lost 4 straight bowl games too.
Just STFU @tdburg11
You're dumb. Very dumb.
Prove to me he did so. The tree we re hurt feelings there and that was about it. I’m sure Kirk did as he was told. And blood is thicker than water. It was really a bullshit solution to an unproven accusation. However, $$ comes into play in such negotiations…and Doyle was a victim of the situation and not the facts. He won’t be the last to suffer this fate… and he certainly was not the first. Classic “being in the wrong place at the wrong time”…So then why did he throw Chris Doyle under the bus and save Brian?!? If there wasn’t anything there.
No. It was I’ll throw Doyle under the bus to protect Brian. I refuse to believe it was just Doyle. It was probably nothing but Doyle paid the price instead of Brian. I’m sure Kirk made sure of that.Prove to me he did so. The tree we re hurt feelings there and that was about it. I’m sure Kirk did as he was told. And blood is thicker than water.
