Did nazi this coming

I don't really GAF what CNN may have done 8 years ago. Absolutely everyone selectively edits videos.

But congrats on continuing this ridiculous deflection from what the thread is actually about.

In regards to the actual topic of the thread-don't believe your lying eyes. I don't really GAF.
Sorry, it wasn't just what CNN did 8 years ago. The lie has been repeated ever since. We know you're familiar with it. For crying out loud, Obama was running around saying it just a few months ago.

Please tell me there is more context to this...

First off, I have stated several times that Trump is unfit for the office of President, yet here we are. And it is crazy to me that one person can donate $250M to get someone elected.

Given that, linked at the end of this post is the entire video from an actual trusted news organization (the Associated Press).

As anyone who is objective can see, he states "my heart goes out to you."

As everyone can see, he's putting his hand on his chest (his heart) and extends his hand (going out to the crowd). Get it? It's a gesture of his heart going out to "you," the members of the crowd, as he clearly stated.

Nevertheless, it is obvious that Democrats will always think the worst when it comes to a Republican (and vice versa).

Literal Nazis Are Celebrating Elon Musk’s Hitler Salute

January 21, 2025

Wired reports:
Neo-Nazis are celebrating Elon Musk making two Nazi-like salutes during a speech to tens of thousands of President Donald Trump supporters on Monday. “Incredible things are happening already,” Andrew Torba, the founder of Gab, a social media platform popular with antisemites and white supremacists, wrote over a picture of Musk giving the salute.
“WE ARE ****ING BACK” the administrator of a Nazi meme channel on Telegram wrote under a clip of Musk giving the salute. Members of the group responded with the lightning bolt emoji, a well-known neo-Nazi reference to the SS.
Evan Kilgore, a right-wing political commentator, wrote on X: “Holy crap … did Elon Musk just Heil Hitler at the Trump Inauguration Rally in Washington DC… This is incredible.” Kilgore later wrote: “We are so back.” Kilgore, who is a Holocaust denier, has worked as an ambassador for Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.

It's not germane to the topic of the thread so I'm not sure why you keep bringing this up.
It’s classic @seminole97 . Demands answers to questions in an attempt to steer the discourse in the direction they want, and away from the original topic. If you do finally answer, and it isn’t in line with expectations, expect the pivot regardless (‘This thread is about hoaxes’). Also…they’re an Elon dick rider.

@seminole97 is one of the least serious, thinks he’s serious posters on HORT. I do like that he puts so much effort into it though. His commitment to an internet message board with a hundred or so people on it is impressive.

We’ve got to stop letting Nazis into our country just because they’re good at building rockets.
FWIW, he got the top rocket builders from NASA. So he was subsidized to start the company, he then got employees trained by NASA. So taxpayers basically made him the richest man in the world. And I want mine back.

You’re so clever. The business you own must be huge!

Try this experiment. Imagine you are in a "my heart goes out to you" moment. Then make the appropriate motion.

Do you smack your chest hard?

Do you aggressively raise your outstretched arm with palm down?

Or do you touch your heart?

And put your arm out, heart level or a little lower, with your palm facing up?

Tell me you would actually do that in a way that even remotely looks like a Nazi salute.
That guy doesn't have a heart.

To completely change their meaning?
No, they don't. They're very selective about when they pull stunts like that.

'What the thread is about' is hoaxes, the people who fall for them, and the people who further them.
I believe the ADL has a reasonable take and you're just trollin, because the only other reasonable take away is that you're really dumb, and I don't believe that, anymore than you actually believe Musk is a Nazi.
I didn't say he was a Nazi. I said he definitely used the salute. Twice. When he could have picked literally any other motion. So at best, he's a moron who has no business having a voice in this country's governance. At worst, he has Nazi sympathies. And given his support for the AfG in Germany, probably closer to the latter.

Thanks for the more details. But all said and told, not sure that really shows that he didn't throw a Sieg Heil salute. If he didn't mean to, well has he explained why it looks exactly like one? He was also in the middle of a intro about "we won the fork in the road election!" Keep in mind, Sieg Heil means "Hail Victory".

It's that or copy and pastes from Zero Hedge.

When do we invade Western Europe and start mass killings of the Jewish people?
Aren’t you paying attention? He wants to invade Canada and Greenland for their resources. And his rounding up of Latino people is already starting today.

Precisely.

This controversy is an IQ test.

Then play a video of musk and then a video of Hitler for a group of five-year-olds and ask them if that was the same or different.

I’m willing to bet 90% of kindergartners can get this question correct. But then again… I don’t think you have as high of an IQ as most kindergartners.

Are we going to intentionally leave out the verbal context in order to manipulate said subjects? Yes or no?

What does that have to do with Eloon's Nazi salutes?
As you know another poster had been asking you repeatedly if you believed the media created "fine people" hoax. He was comparing that hoax to the freshly baked hoax du jour, the "Nazi salute."

You finally conceded no you didn't, but then in your next post you appeared to waffle by minimizing it to "what CNN may have done 8 years ago."

The "fine people" hoax is far from limited to what CNN said 8 years ago. It has literally been accepted as fact by a huge swath of the Left. Again, Obama was spouting it on the campaign trail just a few months ago.

Now you and the Left are right back at it on DAY 1 of Trump 2.0 cranking out more hoaxes. THAT then, is what the two have do with each other. Got it?

That's a lot of words to continue a deflection of the actual topic of the thread. For your benefit, I'll say it again. Read it slower this time. Sound out the words with more than 2 syllables.

It doesn't take a media narrative to clearly see what he was doing. Use your own eyes.

You know, if you're an ignorant child, and willing to drop the context of his remarks, you probably could be fooled into thinking its the same thing.
So, are you?

I'm a full blown Trumper. Listen, I don't think Elon is a Nazi. But I do think this was premeditated, and I think he purposely wanted us to have this argument over the gesture.

Do I think he practiced it in the mirror? Yes
