Did you get any holiday bonuses at work yet?

My company pays out in March. The base for my role is 15%. Hoping it isn't reduced due to industry disruptions. I suspect there will be a small reduction, but we will still get a bonus. This year it should go a long way to finishing my basement.

That's what I got too. It's the gift that keeps on giving all year long.

Summit is a broad term. lol It’s a large ag concern and a nice beer! 🍺
Claims for 88 beans? Maybe I should file one!!
This customer certainly did not have a claim in Kossuth County, or Hancock, or Winnebago. One of my few customers that carried 80% or higher without a loss. Markets might not bounce back soon, but our local basis should firm up into 2025.

We got bonuses on December 15th. Largest was $28K.

Company also did he one time annual pay into the 401K, usually 10-20 percent.

We find out our bonus in March, which is paid out in installments in March, May and September. We also get an advance of 25-35% of the prior year's bonus in December.

Bonuses have been good the last few years. Last year was equivalent to my salary. This year will likely exceed that.

Bonuses were distributed a couple weeks ago,.. it's always a nice way to wrap up the year..

We get one after the year end books are done. So it will be a couple months.

I usually put a good chunk of it in my brokerage account and buy Apple or Microsoft.

A big chunk of all free money should be tucked away IMO.

Question/Opinions:

Person directly beneath me is qualified for an annual bonus. This employee was out from say march to end of October on extended medical leave.

HR has informed me their bonus will be fully funded in the comp tool, but that I should prorate their bonus on time worked. I don't feel that's fair- I doubt we prorate people on parental leave, this person's was just longer.

$200, which is better than nothing. The real $$$ is from the wife's grandma that gives all her granchildren a big fat check from her investments.

Bonuses happen in March for me. Last year we exceeded the base. We’ve been warned this year to expect the base. Will still be a nice bonus.

I only have 5 bonus check to write these days. Our year ends on 12/1 and we managed to eke out a small profit. Everybody got $2,500 which is in line with previous so/so years. I did not see their faces when they opened the envelopes, but nobody said thanks...which is ok with me.

When I first started this side of it they all got a Christmas ham for the first couplethree years and they were all smiles.

Pretty shitty you didn't even get a thanks. That'd make me want to say screw it next year.

Why not ask HR that very question? As to someone on ML, I suppose pro-rating a bonus makes sense. Not that I feel that is right, just from a business side of things.

I think the day after posting my doubts about getting my holiday bonus my boss handed me a check for $500 which is the normal amount we've gotten in the past.

Don’t get our annual bonus until March.

- Cash and restricted stock units. Then a merit increase to the salary in August.

Hopefully this year’s cash and stock units are more than last year, although it was the largest I’ve ever received.

We gave out $3k staff bonuses for Christmas. We also pay an after tax season bonus to everyone around the same amount, some higher some lower depending on hours worked.

Our yearly performance bonus is paid out in March. Otherwise they only give us a small gift certificate to buy a ham.

Used to get a card with a $1 scratch off, some homemade candy, and a staff breakfast from my first principal.

$900 from the plastic factory i have worked at for a long time. It was our first notable bonus since Covid. I’ll take it that’s for sure.
