I did struggle through Sundays game while having to refresh BTN+ more than 20 times. I'm not saying I don't believe Fran but as a coach there is no way in hell you're going to come out in the media and just rip on one of your players or go through all the negatives. I think that general answer is an easy way to get around the fact that there hasn't been many positives for Uhl and there is a reason he is consistently in the "doghouse". The doghouse is reserved for players that consistently don't make the right basketball play which seems to happen to Uhl more than most.so you don't believe Fran? Curious did you watch the game on BTNPlus and did the streaming work for you? I may have missed a few things but the Uhl I watched in Carver in limited minutes was indeed in tune with his teammates when it came to ball movement. If you want to see someone not setting up their teammates....all you had to do was watch Bridges last night for MSU....but hey he probably will be B1G Freshman of Year.
I agree Uhl did not come to Iowa as a "natural".
If the team is looking for a glue guy, Wagner is the ultimate glue guy with more skills if needed. He's selfless, can defend the post, can clean up the defensive glass, and just lets the game come to him.
