****ing amazing, congrats and keep it going! I hope DeVries retires there and makes them into a mid major power. Sure as **** has done wonders in all 3 of his seasons.

15-0 is a great accomplishment no matter where you are or what you are doing, but one of those things in the NET rankings is definitely not like the other. Their best win is against the 2nd worst team in the Big 12 and probably one of the worst major conference teams in the country.

Their best win is not K State. Missouri State would clobber K State. You know what the good thing about the Net is? It’s not decided by stupid voters. Or people who still have Michigan State as an 11 seed. Look at how most teams do after long COVID layoffs. It’s not good. Drake came back from a 17 pt deficit after being off 23 days and won. And did it again the next night. Let’s see how Loyola does in their 2 game series at Missouri State this weekend. I’m guessing they drop a game.

Ok, their best win is a mid-level Missouri Valley opponent that won't make the tournament. I'm not saying Drake isn't a good team, but the lovefest from Tim Doyle and others is a little much given their body of work.
But thèn we will never know, as Both Iowa and Iowa State made the conscious choice to dodge both Drake and UNI in men’s basketball.
I know...and you wouldn't think it would be. But then, Drake could often kick Cy's ass when least expected. Iowa had its problems with (@) UNI.
Great question, with NET of 9 the door is open for quite a high seed if they avoid a horrific loss, today was a close call but a W.
I wonder if Liam Robbins regrets his decision to transfer. Minny is in good position to make the field, but it’s not everyday Drake is in position to win a conference title.
He called a TO in the first half when they were down 6. They proceeded to go on a 15-0 run. That was pretty impressive.
Drake is.....ok. Their NET ranking is great but if you look at KenPom, which would be pretty close an accurate measurement of the Vegas line, they are right there with Michigan St. That said, I could definitely see them taking out their first round opponent, especially one that can’t shoot the 3 ball well.
I think they could get a 5 seed or so if they avoid a horrific loss and win the Valley tourney.
It’s kind of a weird situation since their NET is so high. But they have literally played the dregs of CBB. It will be interesting to see what the committee does with them. Bracketmatrix has them as a 10 currently which I think is totally fair. They had better show out against Loyola when they play.
I'm kind of banking on 1 or 2 wins vs Loyola for my ceiling seed prediction as they are in the 20s.
Entirely possible Drake is better off without him too. Drake would have loved to have him back but there’s no guarantee they would be 16-0 with him.
He's a helleva player. Kudos to DeVries recognizing that initially and helping in making him into what he has become.
His replacement had his best game of the season and is improving every game. I’ll take him over Robbins. Don’t blame Robbins for leaving but Drake was basically his only offer. If Drake sweeps Loyola I see a 6-7 seed for them. Loyola is playing unbelievable. Split with them and Lise 1 or more I see a 8-10 seed.
ISU couldn’t beat a rug this season. Pandemic or not it’s looking like Prohm’s days in Ames are numbered. Not even Lick’s teams came close to this level of futility.
