Carter 100% embraces being a heel that people love to hate. Nobody is more upset by that than PSU fans for some reason.

Tbf, we did the same thing with Gilman.

So when talking about the guys character flaws you respond with "But he is a 4 time champ"

His teammates like him though, so that's cool.

Good to see the deflect, deny, rationalize skill set is in mid season form. Is it taught in elementary school out east or is it just passed down generation to generation?

an offseason tradition unlike any other, iowa getting “turned in” for tampering. first it was woods, then truax, and now it seems we just tamper with everyone. old willie probably learned his lesson when he got used by other coaches to spread that hogwash a couple years ago but pat is happy to do their bidding.

A guy whonis pretty connected to the wrestling community and not a PSU fan has said that DT simply isn't very likeable and has a certain arrogance to him. Obviously, Carter does as well...as do many others.

I was surprised to hear it as I'd never heard it before. Again, the guy isn't a PSU fan. TIFWIW

The same can be said for many (not all) of your high achiever types. Gable, Cael, Brands, starrroci, Dake, Taylor, all can be perceived as a little arrogant or driven. Time may mellow some of them out like Gable.

Yeah, not to many people whine that great are also loved. Lee wasn't always the most popular with others during his years in College. I of course made that up so my point sticks.

I doubt he’s the brightest . Cocky? Impulsive? Immature? All those can fit someone like Carter Starroci. A personality disorder is a little bit much to put out there just because you don’t like a guy.

Honestly, most wrestlers are great guys.

I have met DT and his parents. He is a great guy, but, there definitely is some arrogance there. It's possible that attitude is what made him so great. I don't think he expected to lose a match in college. I think he's shocked he lost to Brooks

I've met Carter as well. He is a guy who believes he performs best with a chip on his shoulder. While, I don't love his style on social media, in the two times I've communicated with him, he couldn't have been more respectful or likeable.

Kyle Dake might have been my favorite to meet and talk to. He talked to me like we had known each other for years, and it was a cool experience. He has a way of speaking with confidence in himself, while being 100% respectful of others.
